Things that frustrate us all

Good. The married guy is cooling off on me. Phew. All I had to do was turn my INTJ personality on him and it acted as an effective repellent (works like magic every time- except when I don't want it to!).

INTJ's are an interesting type to explore in relationships. My wife thoroughly loves studying the MBTI and if she could major in it she probably would. But, I've learned more about it thatn 10 years of school studying psychology/counseling so there's that.

It's a more common type for men than women, by far, though probably still not that common overall. As a woman it's been more of a curse on me than anything else esp. with regards to dating/intimacy, but it's my ingrained nature so I'm stuck like this.

It's been over a week and I haven't seen any sign of the familiar horseback rider. I've been going to same area at around same, and there's no sign of her or any of the other girls that were with her. I'm still holding out hope I might run into her or them again, but it was a holiday when I ran into them, and there a lot of people who are out on holidays who don't normally go out. And I have no idea where they came from, there are tons of houses with horses in that area. It's just still bugging me, she seemed so familiar, but I still haven't been able to figure out why.

Speaking of familiarity, one thing that bugs me is when a song I don't like ends up playing over and over again in your head.

Something might trigger it to go off, such as parts of the notes play somewhere that remind you of it or your wife hums the tune while you're working. (The irony being my wife will actually despise a song, but still sing it. I once asked her why, and she said sometimes 'even though I hate the song, it's catchy.' I don't understand that and frankly never will... if I don't like a song, I'm not going to waste my breath on it. There are plenty of catchy songs I do love that I can use. Or maybe I'm the oddball on that one?)

My pharmacy's automatic refill and call notification system is messed up. It stopped calling me to notify that my prescriptions have been filled. I have to check my account online to know they were refilled. Then this week I kept waiting for another refill that I never got a call for and online was showing that it hadn't been filled since last month, so I put in a manual refill. Still no call, still no update online. Try again the next day, nothing. Then suddenly today online it updates to say it had been refilled a few days ago. But still no call.

I despise "ear worms" and basically prey on the fact that our brains are capable of learning and filling in gaps, i.e. heuristics. The worst part about it is that an ear worm is like an itch that can't be satisfied until the song completes itself. Basically we need resolution to the song.

Regardless, it is super annoying, and I will usually play the song to satisfy my brain's compulsion to finish it, and then immediately listen to some rock music to purge it out.

Today the delivery driver marked my packages as delivered before even getting here. That's the second time it's happened this year. Both times made me think they delivered to the wrong address because no one had driven by yet.

Today was not a good day for me and animals. I almost crashed my bike trying to avoid hitting a road runner, and none of the horses wanted to come over and say hi during my bike ride. My mom and I went out to the park to look for donkeys, and the only wildlife we saw was a tiny little lizard that ran past my feet. Gracie doesn't usually lay between my legs on the couch very often, but today she decided to, and I didn't realize until she laid down, that she literally had a solid layer of dirt and grass covering her entire body.

Turned on the TV a few minutes ago to watch this week's Prodigy episode... only to find out they decided to change its timeslot to half an hour earlier, and it had just ended. Thanks CTV Sci-Fi!

Walmart+ was on sale so I got it for the free Paramount+ even though I rarely shop at Walmart. With hindsight, I would've been better off just getting the Paramount+ deal that came out later. Anyway, Walmart+ was offering a $10 coupon for downloading the app, making a purchase and making another purchase that gets rewards, so I bought some super cheap stuff I wanted (since Walmart+ has free shipping, they actually lost money on my two purchases). I got the coupon code and discover it's just a common code that's out in the wild and anyone can use! WTF?!?!?!?

Some drugs are too hazardous or addictive to be available just at random.

People think the war on drugs didn't work... it actually did, after a fashion. It ensured that we didn't get so many people addicted to substances that rendered them nonfunctional, that we couldn't remain operational as a society.
