Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

When your parents visit, do they ever move things around to the way they like it even though they're only there like 4-5 days out of the entire year? Was washing my hands in the kitchen sink, went to dispense some liquid soap, and it wasn't there! My mom had moved it from one side of the sink to the other.

I'm kind of torn, there's a woman I follow on IG, we comment back and forth a lot, and have gotten kind of friendly, but I'm starting to have trouble with some of the stuff she posts. She's a horseback rider, and I enjoy a lot of the stuff she posts of herself out with her horses, but she also posts a lot of rodeo stuff, and having seen how badly a lot of the rodeo animals are treated, seeing that stuff is starting to bother me. I'm also an atheist, and she's very religious and posts a lot of bible quotes and other religious stuff. I'm just starting to have more and more trouble with that stuff, but she's a really nice person, and I'd feel kind of bad to just stop following her and kind of miss commenting back and forth with her.

We turn our heat on a night, but then off during the day. It been going from the 40s at night to the 60s or 70s during the day.

Do you leave the heat on overnight or do you turn it off and then turn it back on in the morning?

I used to turn it off at night, but I realized the money I was saving wasn't worth waking up to a freezing house every morning.

If I had one of those fancy timer thermostats, though, I'd probably set it to shut off at night and then restart an hour before I get up.

fancy? they were standard for new houses in the late 70s here

Here's an interesting comparison...

In the movie "Die Hard", John McClane kills 10 people. And it's considered to be too violent to be a Christmas movie.

In the movie "Home Alone 2", Kevin McCallister kills 15 people ("kills" being considered any act of violence that could be reasonably expected to kill a human being, whether the portrayed character dies or not). But it's considered a Christmas movie.
