Next time you watch "The Counter-Clock Incident," just mentally replace the model they use for April with this guy instead:

I mean, for many years Paramount did not consider TAS to be canon.
One word: Tomato.Fruit on a pizza? That's just... wrong.
Actually, I prefer fan fiction to the messed up circus that official "Star Trek" has become.Yup, and fans are welcome to do so. Again, it's a matter of what does canon actually mean. It means the collected works by the author, or owner, in this case CBS. We can ignore all we want (I do) but that doesn't change how others will engage with the material, nor does it obligate anyone else to view it my way.
Fan fiction is quite fun, and offers a lot of variety out there. But, it's not canon, which is what this thread is about. Not personal preference, likes, dislikes, or whatnot. That's like asking what type of pizza is the only canonical pizza?
Agreed. Fruit on a pizza? That's just... wrong.
Now, bacon... THAT is a topping. (Of course pepperoni goes it, but you can never have too much bacon in your life.)
Cool. You are, as all of us are, welcome to your preference. Preference =/= canon.Actually, I prefer fan fiction to the messed up circus that official "Star Trek" has become.
In fact, I rather watch TNG, TOS, DS9 and the first three seasons of Voyager than wasting my time on NuTrek and Discovery.
However, I do like Una McCormacks books about Cardassia, especially those where Garak is involved.
That's my honest opinion, my friend. You are the one who keeps calling all of NuTrek "crap"
Then do that. I'm not gonna ever watch VOY again myself. Big chunks of TNG, too.In fact, I rather watch TNG, TOS, DS9 and the first three seasons of Voyager than wasting my time on NuTrek and Discovery.
"vitriolic" ???That's my honest opinion, my friend.
But note that I don't aim my vitriolic comments on posters nowadays, only on certain Star Trek subjects.
I've learned my lessons.
There's the difference!
One word: Tomato.
Are you Eddington? lol
Joking aside, tomatoes are used for the sauce. Pizza without a sauce (tomato based, alfredo, bbq, etc) is just NOT a pizza. Fruit as a topping... that is just wrong.
That's my honest opinion, my friend.
I'm never going to watch the parts of ENT I haven't seen, I don't like the characters. And I'm never going to watch the rest of PIC for...well I don't want to get into that whole thing again. Then do that. I'm not gonna ever watch VOY again myself. Big chunks of TNG, too.
Which is fine. Just doesn't make one or the other canonThat's my honest opinion, my friend.

BBQ Chicken pizza with pineapple is amazing. If that's wrong then I will not be right...on pizza. Are you Eddington? lol

Which is the whole of Trek. Variety storytelling that might not be for me, but could be for you. It's not one size fits all and shouldn't be. For a franchise that celebrates diversity we sure try to flatten that curve on out so there is no diversity! But I can still tell that PIC had quite a bit of good storytelling, it just wasn't for me.
Na, you're wrong too. The only real pizza is tomato, cheese, capers, olives and anchovies!
Not necessarily, Pike does have a picture in his quarters showing him and April wearing The Cage/WNMHGB style uniforms. With all this talk about April I'm really stoked for a flashback appearance of him commanding the Enterprise in the early days!
Unfortunately it'd mean they'd have to bring back the blue uniforms...![]()
Constiution classes are special. Not necessarily, Pike does have a picture in his quarters showing him and April wearing The Cage/WNMHGB style uniforms.
It looks like everything is canonical nowadays.Cool. You are, as all of us are, welcome to your preference. Preference =/= canon.
I prefer TOS over all other Trek, and would get rid of TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT, and the TOS films if given the chance. Now, please tell me, is my preference canonical?
It looks like everything is canonical nowadays.
Does Romulus and Vulcan exist and in which timeline? Well, according to "canon" they both exist...
Hmm, I never wrote that Nerys hauled "vitriolic comments" at me, I was only referring to my own commets, the comments which you disliked.Just saying it doesn't open up much of discussion if you dismiss all of it from the get go with no other argument than saying "it's crap" or "it isn't exactly like TOS/90s Trek" And you kept brining it up as a reason why it isn't canon" which...no...nooo.
And I must have missed the part where Nerys hauled "vitriolic comments" at you (most likely because it didn't happen)
