Virgin 1 repeats ending

They must know i am going on holiday on monday and was annoyed i'd miss 3 weeks DS9

Seriously its a bit annoying, stop just as the war was starting!

Virgin 1 have an annoying habit of talking over the end of many DS9 episodes.

The episode hasn't even finished and some idiot starts waffling on about what show is coming up next.

I hate continuity announcers.

Unfortunately all TV channels do that, at least the announcer didn't try to make some smart alec comment today because of the sombre ending.

For some reason, I don't think I would feel comfortable telling someone that I watched Star Trek on a channel called Virgin 1. :wtf:

Yes, that's very annoying too.

It's no big deal in the UK.

When I was a kid, I remember Richard Branson floating across the Atlantic in a giant black balloon with the word "Virgin" on the side.

I've always thought "Virgin" was a fantastic corporate name.

This sucks big time :( Don't get me wrong I love TNG but I'd like to see the end of DS9 first. Any chance they'll air both together?

How about making a comment as the ending is happening? Literally, they talked right over the final conversation between Bashir and Garak in 'The Wire', to name one of the more egregious examples.

Sent them an email last night about this...surely they're just throwing away their audience with this? TNG's being shown on two other channels at the moments already...

It's a bizarre decision to not show ALL of DS9, and instead broadcast TNG which has been repeated SO many times I pretty much know every line of dialogue, including "Shades Of Grey"

Ah yes i remember that, if only the Obsidian Order could invite some Virgin 1 execs for a "chat".

Well now you know how I feel. One Monday they showed ENT "Shockwave, Part I", then instead of going through the whole series, put Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles on... not a premiere mind, just a repeat of the previous week's episode. :wtf:

Having got this far, I was keen on seeing DS9's Dominion War seasons again (without having to pull them out of storage myself)...

As they are moving DS9 into daytime the following week and back to season 1 that suggests they can't show the final two seasons yet, maybe some other channel still has the free-to-view or pay-TV broadcast rights for those seasons so maybe Virgin 1 cannot.

I think you might be correct about that.

It's a shock suddenly seeing these shows when I occasionally flick through the channels. It was long ago and far away...

Not sure about that...why wouldn't they have the whole series? They've used clips from season 6 in their promos...and if they can't show them because another channel has the rights, how come they can show TNG which is currently on Bravo and BBC2?

Oh bugger. I've been enjoying DS9 on Virgin. Sky never repeated it at a reasonable time for me catch. This is bad news.

well for what its worth (probably zilch) the continuity announcer at the end of friday's show said DS9 would be back on monday.
