They are absolutely losing it.Not only is this just awesome news in general, but its also really going to piss off the Snyder stans, which is a great bonus.
The name everybody ignores is Peter Safran. This man has not only been a frequent collaborator of Gunn's for decades, but he's also been a producer on the Aquaman and SHAZAM! movies, as well as The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker with Gunn. It wouldn't surprise me if Safran was the original contact person between WB/DC and Gunn.
Well, that's certainly encouraging, since those are my third and second favorite DCEU movies, respectively.he's also been a producer on the Aquaman and SHAZAM! movies
Still his best one IMHOKind of funny that Gunn wrote Snyder's first film.
No, even just looking at the first seasons, I wouldn't label Smallville something that bears little resemblance to the source material.
Brightburn.
He didn't direct it, but, he won't be directing everything DC puts out, either. These won't be his movies. There will be varying tones, I have little doubt.
I sincerely hope this happens. My only concern is that regimes seem to change at Warner these days like I change my socks, and Cavill could suddenly find himself persona non grata again under the next new leadership.
But I thought "Shazam!" was mediocre,.
I don't see what difference it makes at this point. The Snyder cult is going absolutely apeshit on Twitter today, following the Gunn news. They got like 3 dumb things trending nationally, the latest is #BoycottWB haha.

I'll admit that I still think Zaslav is a jackass but I'll give him a ton of credit for this move.![]()
It makes no difference either way, as no one knows who will be writing and directing every project on the schedule. It only matters to those disturbed individuals wasting time obsessively hating fans of a filmmaker and his work, which has no impact on WB+D's decisions. This is similar to the way certain members of this same, bitter group who soiled social media, desperately hoping Cavill and Affleck were never returning to the DCEU, and seeing that as a "victory" or "hurting" WB/DCEU...whoops.
I think I may have mentioned months ago that James Gunn should be in charge. While I wasn't hot on 'The Suicide Squad' I did love 'Peacemaker' and I think he can do a lot of good for the DC cinematic universe.James Gunn and Peter Safran are now in charge of DC projects.

John Stewart makes more sense. Although I was really interested to see what they'd do with Guy Gardner and Alan Scott. The HBO Green Lantern show seems to still be a goer but it’s being retooled and will now focus on John Stewart rather than Guy Gardner and Alan Scott. Don’t be too impatient for it just yet https://www.superherohype.com/tv/52...x_QKs8KAkVYWjn_VyekTInf-KgBFP31h659dT1AUM3NAA
