The fort plays a prominent role in "The Night of the Flaming Ghost" (January 21, 1966; Do I have to tell anyone what series?), including a nice beauty shot of the rocks seen through the open gate.
Oh dear. There will be a LOT of these. Here's a bit from The Big Valley night before last (9-19-66). I was just pointing out to my daughter the location. Later in the show, a fellow asks Lee Majors where he's from. He replies, "California." And wanted to blurt, "But this scene was FILMED in California!" 
Ballybunion in County Kerry, Ireland has something similar…but in the water with a square cave in its side.

I thought Vasquez was a TOS thing...
It appeared in TNG: "Who Watches the Watchers?", VGR: "Initiations" and "Gravity," ENT: "Unexpected," and the first two Kelvin movies -- plus it appeared as itself in Picard (albeit an inaccurate version of itself that was treated as a remote desert area rather than a popular tourist attraction literally across the road from a small town).
I guess the town didn't survive WWIII and its film appearances have been forgotten by 2399.
So I thought the Vasquez rocks were much more associated with TOS than any other Trek. I would not think of VOY when I saw a picture of them.
But then again I'm primarily 90% a TOS fan.
It's not just popular for its film appearances. It's good for hiking, rock climbing, horse riding, and the like. When I was there, the cousin I stayed with, an expert cyclist, went mountain biking around the park while I was wandering around looking for familiar rock formations to photograph.
It's less than an hour's drive from Los Angeles, which we know is intact as of Picard's time since Guinan's bar is still there after centuries. And there are other small cities whose outskirts are a 10-20 minute drive from the park, like Santa Clarita and Lancaster. It's also an hour's drive from Edwards Air Force Base. That's why it's always been so popular as a film location -- because it looks remote but is actually very conveniently located.
Also spotted on The Rat Patrol. I don't remember the episode because I've binged much of the series and the episodes tend to blur into the same thing over and over, but they featured the rocks and the fort in 1967 (either the end of the first season or the beginning of the second).
