Wookieepedia lists her as a lieutenant. The rank tiles are, as always, cool AF, while remaining utterly baffling, if not downright inconsistent.Dedra Meero, pronounced 'Ensign' 'N Sign', is that an actual British pronunciation of the rank?
I've heard 'lef-tenant' before, But never that.
I've heard it both ways in a couple of shows. I've said it both ways.'N Sign', is that an actual British pronunciation of the rank?
Huh? I wasn't saying she was an Ensign, I was talking about her pronunciation of the word.Wookieepedia lists her as a lieutenant. The rank tiles are, as always, cool AF, while remaining utterly baffling, if not downright inconsistent.![]()

I say navy.Do we want to get nitpicky and try to determine whether the Ensign in question was the Imperial equivalent of infantry or navy?![]()
Andor's title alone irritatingly does that.Does anyone else's Star Trek antenna go up everytime someone mentions Lt. Gorn?
Yeah, my Star Trek antennae go up on that, for sure.Andor's title alone irritatingly does that.
Mostly blue ones.Yeah, my Star Trek antennae go up on that, for sure.![]()

Kor
"Imperial Navy" wasn't even officially canonical (used in live action) until a deleted scene in Solo and I was really hoping I'd never have to hear it again.
Of all the things to get the panties in a twist about...Ensign is a naval rank. That said, SW uses army and navy ranks in a clumsy, willy-nilly fashion without much thought behind it.
But what I really despise is the term "Imperial Navy." In the original SW, it was "the star fleet" or "starfleet." Yes, that term obviously was already owned by Star Trek, but to me, I'd rather haven them call it "star fleet" with a small "S" or "the star fleet" rather than hear that dumbass Navy term.

Alas.
she was our last hope for Andor to qualify as a Star Wars Production
I've been wondering how this show is going to intersect with the others.
If they are ignoring established continuity, I don't see why would I care for the show at all. I'm watching it cause it's Star Wars. Ergo respects canon.Who cares?
