I have to say I enjoyed the TNG movies.
The J.J Abraham's movies were entertaining, but I don't really consider them "cannon". It wasn't really in the spirit of TOS.
If Spock can change the timeline, can someone (please) change it back?
Go back and save the Romulans (like the Federation should have done) and therefore make it unnecessary for Spock to use the red matter?
What the Hell is red matter anyway? Where did Spock or the Federation get it? Do the Romulans or Klingons know about it?

    In what way?
Timeline wasn't changed. A new branch of the Prime timeline was created. The Prime timeline is still chugging along.
A plot device to create a alternate timeline and to provide a threat for our heroes to counter.

    Probably Vulcan.

The Romulans must have. And I'm sure the Klingons observed it's deployment. But alas, too late to save Romulus.

Temporal Prime Directive, and all that.

Plus, the lead-up to and demise of Romulus led to the Picard series. Which gave the (surviving) Romulans some much-needed variety in hair styles.

Well, in Final Fantasy Red Mages can use both White and Black Mages and have nice hats. So applying the same principle Red Matter must combine the traits of Dark and uh...NotDark Matter. And wears a nice hat.
It's opposed by Blue Matter that takes on the qualities of things it comes in contact with.

Controversial Opinion: I think Picard Season 1 is the single best season in all of Star Trek.

What about the computer personality that was coming on to Kirk in “Tomorrow is Yesterday”?

I thought it was a weird mix of solid gold and solid muck and wished they just did a series of Picard and his Romulan housekeepers solving crimes on Earth, which is what episode one seemed to be setting up.

As others have pointed out that was a one-off gag that never happened in any other episode.
And "Moira" is still 100% irrelevant and non-canon.

    Ok, I have two.

John Williams (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Superman, etc…) NEEDS to do a Star Trek score before he retires/passes.

I think Enterprise is a good show that needed 3 more seasons. But I’m glad it got canceled before they got to the Romulan War. After the Xindi Arc, the last thing they needed was another dark long term arc.

Well, you just said two virtually opposite things in that one post. So at least one of the two is guaranteed to be controversial.

I'm dead sure that if ENT went three more seasons, the Romulan War would've happened. They had the Romulans secretly controlling the Vulcan government, they felt threatened by the beginning of an alliance between Earth, Andor, and Taler... there's no way it wouldn't have happened.

It would've been action-heavy, for sure, but I don't think it would've been dark. The Romulan War is the thing that the Federation was supposedly born out of. Tonally, it probably would've felt more like the Klingon War in DS9 Seasons 4-5, not the Dominion War of DS9 Seasons 6-7.

I genuinely thought Williams was already retired. Apparently, on looking it up, he announced his retirement from *star wars* some years ago and I must have gotten that announcement twisted around in my memory. Although he has more recently announced Indiana Jones 5 will be his last film score because he wants to focus on concert music for the remainder of his career.

But, hey, it seems he still did the score for Obi-Wan even after he was 'retired from Star Wars', so you might still have a shot.
