Its an old new character that is supposedly better to find out exactly who he is by seeing it unfold. Least imaginative is B4 being revived and then having all of Data's memories and committing suicide.

 

Perhaps Lore's had some really, really good therapy and isn't a genocidal maniac any more. That would be a new old character.

Spiner doesn't want to play Data again (he's said that androids shouldn't age).

 

Even though TNG already said he does age.

I'm curious what role he'll have in season 3 and what maybe revealed at New York comic con in a few days.

 

I doubt it. Terry wants to keep it under wraps until the season airs.

 

Which makes me think it won't be Altan from season one...

 

Terry said he's playing a 'new old character', and that if they had a poster of him like they did with the rest of the cast, it would raise a ton of questions.
