Which doesn't make it any less vindictive or ugly to say it somehow deserves to be destroyed.

I do agree with that statement.

The thing that's especially irritating with them pulling so much stuff off of HBOMax is that I think a lot of it was stuff that wasn't anywhere else, which means there's now no way at all to watch it.
My biggest thing with Batgirl is that they were so close to release. I would think at that point it really wouldn't have cost that much more money to finish than they'd already spent on it.
Now, to be clear I'm more than willing to acknowledge that it could have been a total trainwreck. My issue is that they were starting to promote this a lot, and it was looking like this was going to be a big part of the DCEU moving forward, and then just as I was starting to get excited for it, and look forward to it, they just suddenly announced it wasn't coming out. And it's not like this was something that had been having a lot of problems, so it's cancellation was a huge shock.

As the Corporation sees it, with a 100% tax write off, they end up spending nothing at all. They get all the money back at zero further financial risk.

Well, the film was not close to release, as it was still in production, and no formal advertising campaign had been launched, either.

There's no way to know if the film was going to be a "big" part of the DCEU, but it there is a suggestion that the bridge to the film--Keaton's Batman--was replaced in his part in Aquaman 2, with the Batgirl appearance--and the film--wiped from the DCEU. One could guess that he--as that bridge--did not (in the grand scheme of things) mean much, so the entire matter may not be some great loss to the DCEU.

    IIRC, it wasn't anywhere near a 100% write-off.

Watched League of Super Pets. Very fun and the kids had a blast. Lots of laughs and good visuals.

More Cavill-related theories from 1:32 - 3:45. Obviously, Chris Wong is hopeful, and its interesting to play with theories, but at this point, its not as much about confirmation and more about taking a wait and see position.

Rumors from the My Review - Aaron Fischer YT channel:

Sutton hints about a Batman vs. Deathstroke film / the "trinity" to return? - 4:46 - 7:33

Batman v. Deathstroke was intriguing in the comics, but a film would need to have more meat to their conflict (other than some murder-for-hire motive), similar to the way Deathstroke's life/connections were built in The New Teen Titans.

I just watched that as well. Mainly for the evil kitten, Whiskers. But I ended up enjoying the entire movie.

That is good for a DC film.

I hope it's a runaway success. Not just or even primarily for Adam's sake but for the JSA's.

Don't know about the movie but the action figures are good sculpts and reasonably priced.
