Understandable. Sausage is a rare treat. Bacon is the same, but mostly because I hate cooking it.

I don't eat meat, but I've noticed unfortunately as I get older that while my mouth can still handle spicy foods, my lower intestinal track goes into revolt over something simple like siracha.

I agree with you, but in this specific case, I can partially understand. Being a newbie and not being able to edit your posts is annoying. Even so, the requirements for getting past newbie stage are pretty low - wasn't it 14 days and/or 20 posts or something like that?

In fact, one of my nephews is fully onboard the bacon train because of me. In fact, a lot of foods I introduced him to.

Well, this will sound ignorant but what's a rasher? I'm guessing a type of cut of bacon?

I avoid fatty bacon if I cook it. Takes too long and if I'm going to cook it it needs to be crispy.

Quick read of the article says it's not typically found outside Ireland and England. But, I imagine you might be able to call a local butcher and see if they could do a cut, since it's using a different part of the pig.
