Picard Season 3 Teaser Trailer

This felt like a Star Trek trailer. I heard some things at the convention and seeing this trailer has risen my optimism. I'm still a little skeptical, but they are trending in the right direction.

The trailer kind of lined up with what RMB previously leaked on a podcast about the first episode, but...
Didn't he say Picard and Riker were stealing the Titan? It all looked above board in the trailer. He did mention though that the Titan had received a refit, rather than it being a new ship...

Maybe they lied to spacedock control or something, or the trailer is cut in a way to make it look legit

Terry called it the Titan-A.

I've been seeing a lot of the Shangri-La model cropping up on twitter lately, but I wasn't expecting an updated version of it to show up here. Kinda cool they're exploring ship designs that whilst still have great lines, aren't all flattened out and pointy.

A number of STO ships filling in the background too, Sutherland, Gagarin, Reliant.

Maybe Riker becomes de facto captain? You see Picard and Seven sitting in two of the centre seats, I assume Riker is in the 3rd?

I.... don't like it? I think? I mean, I love the Constitution class in pretty much every form it has ever taken, but this.... I dunno.

The basic shape is fine, but it pretty much having a copy/pasted Constitution saucer, with all the little details that go with that, feels..... off. Nevermind the 6 impulse engines that just come off as ridiculous, in my opinion.

Maybe I just don't like this era of Starship as I didn't care for the new Stargazer either. I just think the designs are too busy. The lines and curves of the hull aren't able to flow as there is just too much "going on".

Again, just my opinion. Maybe that will change the more we see this ship in action.

Looks like return to Freecloud? And if we're going to Jupiter Station that means a Seven/EMH reunion is hopefully on the cards.

The spacedock looks dodgy, I've never seen a CG version that looked "real" like the old ILM model. It's likely early CG though (check out the lack of a registry on the Titan-A, but that said the final Farragut in SNW didn't have one either!) so hopefully improves. Rest looks great.

Enthusiasm levels remain neutral.

Not really a fan of this new ship...its very clunky looking. While I don't need ships to be pointy or smoothy or whatever, they could have smoothed and pointed this one a little. The Connie style saucers also look really weird when combined with modern elements, and those nacelles look pretty goofy. Three ship classes that look cool all stuffed together in a trenchcoat. Would have been cool if Riker and co busted out his original Titan.

Anyway, the cast looks GREAT. Worf the white is amazing looking. I really wish they could have incorporated Picard's original cast in some form. I will settle for them all coming back for the (hopefully) inevitable Seven of Nine spinoff, hopefully on a much prettier ship. Give that woman the new Enterprise and make sure it' looks good!
