Im pretty sure that the Titan in the trailer is based on Bill Krause’s USS Shangri-La model. I know he was involved in season 2 doing the Stargazer models for the ready room, and I wonder if they saw something else they liked in his portfolio.

Im pretty sure that the Titan in the trailer is based on Bill Krause’s USS Shangri-La model. I know he was involved in season 2 doing the Stargazer models for the ready room, and I wonder if they saw something else they liked in his portfolio.

Oh my god. The Titan, Terry showed us the Saucer of it in January. Look it has the TMP style phasers, as does the titan.

Yup, I suggested this a few weeks back and everyone else thought it was the Stargazer from S2.

(not that I thought for a second it was the Titan, just the hero ship from S3)

The Titan was always bland, at least to me. This feels like it has a weight to it. I'll take it over others. But, I'm not attached to the Titan as other fans are.

Yep, I would agree with that assessment. And it would have been great, if the show took place in 2290, not 2400+.

The other thing I’m worried about now is:

I thought it always had a very interesting design. Looked like a Trek ship but different.
