No, but you dont have to tell EVERY story .. Save some precious screen time for other characters that haven't gotten 69 episides and 7 movies. And all his stories have been told?

I imagine it won't just be "THE KIRK SHOW!" but also might involve other characters, like Gary Mitchell, and such. It could be a little fun thing to explore the early parts of Kirk's career. Just like it has been fun to see Pike in more than one episode. That's the nature of storytelling. No, but you dont have to tell EVERY story .. They'll tell the stories they want to tell with the characters they want use. Precious screen time will be used for those stories. No, but you dont have to tell EVERY story .. Save some precious screen time for other characters that haven't gotten 69 episides and 7 movies.
That's just crazy talk.
As others said it's already a done deal. I bet we also eventually, in another show, get either the first 2 years of Kirk's 5 year mission or the last. Whichever 2 they decide we never originally saw.
Why not both? Honestly. The sky's the limit here and opportunities abound. There's no need to box it in when you have a new actor who could potentially age across the role. Or, you could just flip it around and have Kirk in his younger years. Either choice is perfectly acceptable in terms of what we have seen in Kirk's career.I'm just saying, why bother continue the first five year mission, when they could just as easily make show about Kirk's second five year mission post-TMP. That would be a far more excitable project.
Has anyone who controls what's being made said it would be one or the other?I'm just saying, why bother continue the first five year mission, when they could just as easily make show about Kirk's second five year mission post-TMP. That would be a far more excitable project.
Yeah, well...it did okay.He had his own show. Decades ago. It was called Star Trek.
Yes it is, it is mine and I created it, it is by me and I have it and it belongs to me.![]()

It's what's selling. But otherwise I never want to see a rebooted legacy character again, ever.
Because she isn't the Uhura we know yetDidn't feel like Nichelle Nichols at all.
I wish Uhura wasn't there either.
I love Celia Rose and everything she does. I just wish she was a new character. Didn't feel like Nichelle Nichols at all.
I'm still amazed at how many people don't get this. (and not just for Uhura)She's not playing Nichelle Nichols.
