How do the SNW crew die?

F. King Daniel

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
Inspired by this thread, and the realisation it's ancient history to the Discovery crew in season 3 onwards (and likely the TNG, DS9, VOY, LDS, PRD and PIC crews, too) I have to ask... how do they all die?

Spock we know dies in the Kelvin Universe in 2263 after saving everyone except the Romulans in 2387. Pike ends up in the beepy wheelchair and living on Talos IV but for how long and what comes next? Uhura apparently ends up captain of some starship according to set dressing in Picard which is never seen, but how does her story end? Hemmer, we know. But what else? M'Benga, Una, Christine, La'an, Ortegas, Place your bets now!

Narrowing it down to La'aan, Ortegas and Una. SInce M'Benga, Chapel, etc. have to live to TOS and beyond.

La’an and Ortegas might die due to recklessness from Pike against the Gorn or Klingons. And Una makes a noble sacrifice that leaves an impression on Spock.

Or all three join Section 31 and die on a top secret mission.

Or they die peacefully in their sleep like M’Benga, Chapel, and the rest of the crew likely does.

I've taken to speculating that the wedding of Sarek's son that a young Jean-Luc Picard mentioned attending in TNG "Sarek" was actually the wedding of Spock to Christine Chapel some time in the 2320s.
@Sci, I'm sticking with the idea that it's Saavik whom Spock marries. And not just because of Vulcan's Heart (although that IS a factor ;) )...
Personally, I remain unconvinced it was even Spock's wedding at all. I see no reason to believe Sarek didn't have a third son. ;)

Fair point -- it's not like it would be out of character for Spock not to mention having another brother!

Easy. Aside from Uhura, the red shirts will die over the course of the show. The rest are safe.

(I know that joke is petrified stale by now, but dammit if I still won't pull it out and dust it off from time to time)

I see Uhura dying only for them to reveal this Uhura is a parallel universe Uhura. They could use some shock value.

We know Chapel makes it all the way to at least 2286, as she is a full Commander in ST IV.

And of course Sam Kirk dies in "Operation: Annihilate!".
