Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Just recently got the USS Glenn (been waiting for that one for years) - got it for a measly $250 from a Canadian dealer (they usually go for $400-450). Waiting on the silly-ass Batlh (which I also found for dirt cheap - $19.99) to finish off the main DSC collection. Cerritos is next. Vancouver as well. I just hope I don't have to wait to find them for a reasonable price as I long as I did for the Glenn or, worse, even longer, for the original Japanese DeAgostini Borg Cube. If I am lucky enough to find them for $85, it's fucking mine!

Are they likely to deliver?

I dunno. It could be that EE has been guaranteed delivery of the products they ordered. Or it could be that they aren’t up on the news and haven’t updated the site.

I for one wouldn’t pre-order anything. If it says “in stock” that’s one thing. But “coming in August” is not trust worthy at all.

I've never seen any in the wild. They were available for pre-order (sold-out, of course) on EE, BBTS and Monsters In Motion, but that's about it. Nothing on Amazon or eBay (nothing for the Cerritos either, for that matter). Just found a TOS BSG Gold Cylon on MIM for $60. Figured I'd grab that one too. That was the last of the BSG specials I needed.

Did anyone receive their Vancouver?

Forbidden Planet in the UK still has it up releasing the 14th. I’m expecting them to never have it but I could be surprised. Then I get to see what shipping charges I get for having it sent to the US. They don’t charge unless they ship so I’m really not out anything.

$450 for the Glenn?! Wow. That's devotion. Free Tardigrade inside, however!

I find myself wishing they had done both versions of the SeaQuest. It doesn't look like production would have phased them at all owing to its simplicity. And the licensing must be dirt cheap by now.

Very cool -- Just placed my order, shipping be damned! Hopefully, come August 14, that charge will appear.

Now for the elusive Cerritos...

Actually, it was $250 for the Glenn for me from a dealer in Canada. Something probably got messed up in my favor in the currency conversion between CAD & USD. No complaints from me there. I have seen them on eBay for as high as $450.

Yeah, I don’t think the Vancouver was ever actually released.

it is funny that all the LD stuff is near impossible to find especially on eBay. The price on even a regular, non-LD Titan has gone thru the roof.

I actually got both the Cerritos and Titan shipped directly from Eaglemoss. If I’d known they were going to be limited items I wouldn’t have unboxed them.
