Neil Patrick Harris was on Good Morning America to promote his new show but surprisingly they brought up Doctor Who as well. He said that his episodes will air next "Holiday season", AKA Christmas/New Year but I'm not going to get my hopes up only for them to be dashed.

Edit: He's hyping it on The View too. Russell will be pleased.

Yeah, and somebody needs to tell Whoopi Goldberg about Jo Martin... Is this the point where I repeat my skepticism that those specials are for Xmas 2023, and point out the anniversary year starts on January 1st, again?

To be fair 95% of people watching The View have never heard of Doctor Who let alone seen it, so getting into explaining Jo Martin's place in the series isn't really going to happen.

Yasmin Finney tweeted a memorial to Cribbins this morning saying he was the best granddad you could want... so is that the first "official" confirmation that her character is Donna's daughter?

Did he specifically say "episodes"? We've been treating the rumor of it being multiple specials as fact but that would be the first time someone connected to the production has confirmed it, right?

^His exact words are “I got to go to Cardiff, Wales, to film a thing that will come out, I think, next holiday season.”

Of course, from a certain perspective 2023/2024 is “next holiday season” and 2022/2023 is “this holiday season.” But I’m leaning more toward hoping there’ll be something for New Year’s 2023. It baffles me that RTD would skip the holiday slot for the first time since 2005.

There were two or three directors on his stuff, so that implies two or three episodes.

Plus we've seen clapperboards/slates for Episode 1 and Episode 3.

Episode 2 is a total mystery and may have been shot all in studio.

Wilfred is Donna’s granddad, so her daughter would be his great-granddaughter.

My Aunt is a great grandmother but her great grandchild still calls her granny.

David Tennant confirms there are a lot more characters returning for the 60th anniversary, but they've all filmed their stuff inside and not on location

Some new details on the centenary, apparently Jodie will try on some of the classic Doctors' outfits. Bradley Walsh's Graham will also be the one gathering up older companions

Apropos of nothing, but I keep misreading "centenary" as "cemetery". :wtf:

David Tennant was so good as the Doctor that maybe it would be possible to regenerate into the same body, again?
Later bring back Christopher Eccleston too.

Moffat did establish in the 50th Anniversary special, that with the Doctor's potentially infinite number of regenerations (by whatever means...) that the Doctor eventually started to revisit "the old favorites" from time to time when they changed appearance.

Or how about if the Doctor could regenerate as someone he has had a strong relationship with or even developed feelings to?
Billie Piper, you're the next Doctor. =)

This makes me wonder what Romana got up to with Princess Astra, as she got the look just right…
