DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

Yeah, Civil War is basically Avengers 2.5 just without you-know-who & you-know-who.
I missed Coulson too.
While I did enjoy the Snyder movies, for me they are nowhere near the level of the MCU. They just take themselves way to seriously, and are too obsessed with making every character dark and brooding, and they're just nowhere near as fun as the MCU.
I like the fact that the MCU movies are light, fun, and were a lot quicker to start embracing some of the crazier aspect of the comics, like the GotG characters.
For reference, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Shazam, The Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of Harley Quinn, and The Suicide Squad are my favorite DCEU movies. Birds of Prey is not only one of my favorite DCEU movies, it's one of my absolute favorite movies of all time. The Suicide Squad might go up there too, but I'd have to watch it one more time to say for sure.

My sentiments as well--about so much of the incoherent Saturday morning-esque MCU.
Jim Lee makes a few comments regarding the Snyderverse.
I suppose I'm not sure what's considered the Snyderverse. Is his definition simply what's overseen by Snyder directly? If so, this isn't a big surprise. Otherwise WW, Aquaman, Suicide Squad and Shazam and Black Adam are still in that universe so it's continuing, if not in tone then at least in continuity.

I take it to mean that we're not going to see any more "emo fourteen year old who thinks dark and violent = quality" type movies.
The term "SnyderVerse" is used only in the tweet text. In the actual video, Jim Lee is talking specifically about the Snyder Cut of JL, saying there are "no plans for additional work on that material."
According to the link, Henry Cavill is making an appearance at ComicCon at the DC panel. If true, that can only mean one, major thing--and its not just to say "hello" to the fans.
Probably for Black Adam 2. WB refuses to give Superman his own movie for some reason.

OK maybe not every character, but he does it to characters who it really doesn't fit.
One thing that has annoyed me with his movies going all the way back to 300, and I have a feeling even his fans will at least acknowledge as a fair criticism, is his obsession with draining almost all of the color out of everything. I'm a very visual person, and I love colors, and the constant dull colors in movie drive me crazy.
As for the Snyderverse, when I say it I'm just talking about the movies he was personally involved with, when I'm talking about all of the movies in that universe, I call it the DCEU. The first Wonder Woman is kind of borderline Snyderverse for me since he was a producer and had a story credit, but it doesn't really feel like a Snyder movie the way the ones he more directly involved with do.

To be clear, I really don't hate the Snyder movies the way some people do, the things I mentioned in my other post are just the things that kept me from loving them as much as I do the MCU movies. So if the MCU movies overall are a 10 for me, Snyder's movies would be a 7.
