BORING!!!if I don’t end up liking Picard season 3, I’m not going to shout from the rooftops how it’s the worst thing ever and that it’s ruined the franchise.

Selfishly I’ve always wanted Picard to be TNg 2.0/The Movie #5 and it looks like in a way I’m getting what I wanted![]()
Regarding RMB, eh as much as I dislike the guy, I'll take his praise as positive. I liked Picard Seasons 1 and 2 a lot, I also like the Berman ear shows, so win win here.
All the writers there except Sean Tretta also wrote on Season 2.
Kirsten Beyer and Akiva Goldsman didn't write/co-write anything this season.
Agreed. I'd have been a lot less worried about season 3 pandering to purists if RMB had said he hated every second of it. That would have meant it's innovative, interesting and takes new approaches with the TNG cast and source material. The fact that he likes it simply means it's TNG season 8, the same old Berman era style, only with better graphics. (RMB even tweeted that they should just re-name things into TNG Season 8.)
as the quote from the showrunner above shows, it's still serialized. I don't think it's going to be TNG Season 8 despite was RMB says, but I guess there is familiarity in it.Agreed. To be fair tho, this return to what TNG was like IS what a large part of the fanbase has wanted from PIC from day one. And has been upset about not getting for two whole seasons. (I still very much doubt they'll be pleased now, though. PIC is still a show written by fanboys, and like I said before, one fanboy's dream is another fanboy's nightmare. They'll find things to nitpick and hate on, I'm sure.)

I'm guessing it's the lore/continuity aspect of the season. Maybe the villain is connected to an event from TNG.
We're getting the Klingon theme with Worf, Right?Terry says season 3 will honour Jerry Goldsmith in a big way
