Dune Forums

TrekBBS is a wonderful forum for Star Trek. In fact, it's probably the best there is ... for Star Trek. Can anyone recommend the best forum for discussing the Dune books?

@Timewalker has stated they have frequented other Dune forums in the past. Perhaps they know?

I rarely find a lot of Dune chatter so I would be curious to know too.

The only Dune-centric discussion forum I'm aware of is the Dune Reddit.
I've seen r/dune. But it's mostly just discussing the movies, specifically people who have only seen the movie yakking about how it doesn't make sense, because they haven't bothered to read the book. And fan art.

It has been so long since I read the books I don't have a clear memory of them. I would suggest opening a thread here, but I'm not sure how much response you would get. For me, Dune is the first four novels. I stopped reading after Heretics.

The Dune subreddit is the only one I'm aware of and there is plenty of book discussion there. Fed2K was very popular for a while but that one has gone the way of the dinosaur. I find it nearly impossible to have discussions on the novels anyway because every single thread dissolves into attacks.

I stopped after Messiah. I read some of the Herbert/Anderson ones which were fine if lackluster in terms of motive to read on.
