so the federal tories are making a big noise over the claims the federal govt put pressure on the rcmp for details over the gun used in the Nova Scotia mass shooting.

I guess it makes a nice distraction for some from the evidence point to the rcmp's response being an utter cluster fuck, the lack of accountability from the orgnisation for it's actions and the provincial inquiry that doesn't seem that interested in getting the bottom of what when wrong.
 
We're expecting another visitation in downtown Ottawa from the Convoy Crowd tomorrow for Canada Day. They're "promising" to stay all summer or until Trudeau surrenders his office to Poilievre, Bernier or someone of similar mindset. Whichever ends first. Not happy at all, and the public safety establishment seems to be better prepared this time around. So, too, local residents who don't want a return to the Siege of this past winter. We'll see.

Once again law & order is something conservatives like to preach about but don't expect them to practice.

I'd imagine it's all posturing at this point, as nobody (i hope) would be stupid enough to try the same trick of camping out for weeks on end again. Ottawa's surely not going to let it happen again, not after how much disruption the first one caused.

Bernier had a rant on twitter that makes PP look respectable by comparison. US Alt Right style politics are here. We're just 10 years behind. We'll have our own alt right PM not too long from now, because the CPC loves power more than anything else and will not stop embracing this. This has been the inevitability ever since they merged with Reform.

Hey, @wayoung. My apologies, I do get the point of your post and I get that it's not "you" saying these things. However, my understanding is that our official position is that this is a slur, and therefore shouldn't be used at all, even if it's not being used as a flame against another member, or is being used as a rhetorical device. No warning this time, but I would strongly suggest to please avoid its use in the future.

Um, ok. I appreciate that you understood the context behind it and took that into consideration with the notice. Do I need to edit or something? Since you quoted it I can't remove your quote.

I did try to find some precedent on that question, because certain words do need to be removed, but past cases of this one seem inconsistent, and there were some where it was left in, so I didn't edit it. If you decide to edit it yourself, I can edit the word out of its quoted uses (although would probably just replace the one word with a (removed) tag but keep the rest of it the same, rather than changing it to match your edit, just so the context for the following discussion isn't lost).

Yeah sure I'll remove it to make things easier, seems like an issue on the moderation end and it doesn't bother me.

While there is some manufactured outrage such as the claims of interference in the Portapiq shooting Trudeau's ability to shit his own nest is beyond compare.
