If the same people are making it I wouldn't put it past them considering what they did with this series.
Same here. Enjoyed it immensely, fantastic piece of the Star Wars saga.
And with that 'Leia suiting up' scene, I'm sorry Grogu, but you've lost your title of cute of cutes <3
A challenge. Mandalorean series 3 now has a new challenge.
One thing that just occurred to me; Carrie's performance in this scene suddenly hit a lot differently in light of what Obi-Wan told Leia about her parents. I foresee many fanedited flashback videos in this clip's future . . .
I'm sure there's a dozen possible explanations as to how she got off of Jabiim, (The most obvious one being she flew the ship with the giant hole in it's side) it's just from a story telling perspective, the show gave zero indication of any kind which one it could be. No shot of her dragging herself towards the ship, no shot of her walking away from a smoking wreck in the Dune Sea. It just cuts straight to Anchorhead. Cut back to Ben and Leia and they're still on the ship. It's a little jarring.
Not the first time she's teleported either; in Part III she managed to get the the end of the tunnel ahead of Leia, even though Leia set out minutes ahead of her, and somehow without passing her. Again; possible explanations abound, but the show does nothing to indicate which. She's just *there*.
Younglings are taken as infants. He already says he barely remembers them, and then only in images and feelings. His brother was a baby, so he'd have no memory of Obi-Wan at all. There's no real connection there. Besides; why endanger them? If he shows up on Stewjon it'll only make them a target.
In this instance it's less about the usual "speed of plot" contrivance, and more just logistics and time compression. Last time we saw Reva she was wounded and left to die on a desolate planet with no ship. Cut to Obi-Wan & Leia on the ship that only just flew away for a bit, then cut back to Reva who's not suddenly on a completely different planet.

And his crew know better than to pipe up with suggestions like "shall we launch fighters to chase down that transport while we pursue the escape craft?" Even though they probably should have.
Me too, though the 'Crimson Reign' comics indicate that they aren't likely to do anything substantial with them any time soon. Same reason we aren't likely to see Kiera Knightly back as Sabe anytime soon, given she's been in the Vader comic a bunch (post tESB.)
I think Obi-Wan just knew that killing Vader wasn't his destiny. It would change nothing if he did, but with Vader alive, then there's a chance Anakin's son could be the one to destroy Vader, and the Sith along with him. Whereas all Obi-Wan can do is kill him.
I wouldn't mind a show set in the underworld during the OT. Playing both sides of the war, underhanded dealings, intrigue, betrayals, and power plays. On the other hand, the aforementioned Crimson Reign comics are already covering that ground.
Black Sun have already shown up in the Disney era a bunch of times. And they're up to what they're always up to; Doing crime.
I don't' disagree with the overall sentiment, but I wouldn't exactly call her "powerful". She was a youngling. An Initiate. Not even a half trained Padawan like Caleb and Cal were. She overcompensates for her insecurities by trying to be the loudest and most aggressive, which the GI (are we ever getting a name for they guy!?) sees right though. In a way she's a scared kitten trying desperately to make herself look big next to the other, much larger and older cats. Hackles always up, claws always out. Hell, almost everything she says in this show is a projection. I don't know where people get the idea she's bland. She's a well written and dimensional character with a ton of agency.

Yes, involving Maul could be a way to do something in season 2. But you need to bring Obi-wan away from tatooine again, as Maul didn’t know he was there in Rebels.
I don’t think the two of them meeting again before their final duel would be an issue, in any case. Of course Maul has always been outclassed by obi-wan, he might make a better opponent to Reva.
the past shows that the comics, “canon” as they may be, will just be ignored and retconned as soon as it becomes convenient.
he could have been saying it to soothe the dying maul, though.
The final duel between Vader and Obi-Wan was quite moving.
All the Reva stuff was fantastic. I'm hoping to see further adventures of both her and the fake Jedi.
Leia was perfectly cast, a dream. Vivien Lyra Blair really sold the character, and she can play Leia from now on, as far as I'm concerned.

Finished this yesterday. I'm not a massive Star Wars fan by any means and after being burned by The Book of Boba Fett I thought I might skip this one. The trailers weren't particularly exciting to me.
However I do like Ewan and so he drew me in. Glad he did. Every episode was quality with no fat.
TBH I hope we don't get a Season 2. It feels like a nice story and done.

...except he did not have any remaining in the future--the OT. Again, Kenobi's firm, OT view of Vader being evil--and training Luke to defeat (read: kill) him erases any notion that he saw him as Anakin, or had any love for him, hence the reason his parting address in this series was to call him "Darth" because he knows Anakin consciously embraced evil / the Sith religion.
Kenobi had no reason to reveal anything to Maul; his statement--that he considered Luke the Chosen One was more to reinforce the point to the audience about the surviving Jedi beliefs--since the OT clearly set Luke up as the savior archetype.
Overall, the show was enjoyable. It was Star Wars. However, I wasn't overly in awe as I was with Mandalorian. If Mando hit it out of the park, then Kenobi is a base hit. It wasn't necessary to the core story trilogy and it really didn't fill in any gaps that needed filling. Honestly, I rank this series below Solo, but I really liked Solo.
Hayden Christensen wants a second season. I'm not seeing how entertaining or logical that would be to have Vader in season 2 and never see Kenobi again. Nor does it make sense to have yet another Kenobi/Vader duel before Episode 4.

Maul: “is he the chosen one”?
Kenobi: “he is”.
Maul: “he will avenge us”.
it was not obi-wan offering any new information, he was just confirming what maul already believed.
In the Maul death scene, Kenobi is merely stating his belief. He does indeed feel that Anakin is dead and gone for good, and that it must be Luke who is the Chosen One after all, and not without good reason. He's (mostly) wrong, but that's OK since it doesn't matter in the moment.
This isn't a retcon of anything since it's an explicit point of contention between Obi-Wan and Luke in RotJ. Obi-Wan feels Anakin was destroyed, more machine now than man, twisted and evil, and that Luke is their only hope in defeating Vader and his Emperor. Luke feels there's still good in him.

That's pretty much my interpretation, and nothing in Obi-Wan contradicts it. Even in ROTJ, Obi-Wan appears more resigned to the "twisted and evil" than "Yup, kill him now! Right now!"
