Generally I don't like Westerns. Never been a fan of horse operas. The exception is High Noon, which tackled political and social issues that transcend the genre.
You're describing a more recent subgenre of horror known as "slasher films." What about the classic Universal horror flicks of the 1930s and '40s, or the Hammer films of the 1960s and '70s?Horror films. Watching teenagers get slaughtered, who cares?
When I hear "screwball comedy," the first picture that comes to mind is Howard Hawks' 1937 classic Bringing Up Baby. Second is Peter Bogdanovich's What's Up, Doc? (1972).I personally wouldn't class "A Fish Called Wanda" as a screwball comedy, for me the first film that comes to mind from that type of film would be "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.
