If the Decoy is unmasked, and Obi-Wan stays a fugitive, then assholes are going to keep trying to kidnap the real Leia to get Ben.

Remember when her "cousin" said that she wasn't a real Organna, and we thought he was talking about her being adopted?

The only way for the real Leia to be safe...

1. The decoy is killed, and real Leia is raised in secret.
2. Obi-Wan is killed trying to rescue the decoy.
3. The Empire falls, or stops caring about Jedi.

By the time of Star Wars, the Empire is not even mentioning Jedi--other than to assume their (and by extension Vader's) religion is long gone, with Tarkin believing Kenobi should have died by that time, so the Jedi are or no concern to the Empire, and would not be until Luke's identity is discovered, and even at that point (TESB) there's no indication that the Imperials working to capture Luke suspect he has anything to do with the Force, Jedi, etc.

And Natalie Portman was plastered throughout the press for months before the movie came out (if not years) as playing "The Queen", so even if Lucas was trying to keep things a surprise, he sure did a piss poor job of it.

Something about the Inquisitorial "tomb" has been bothering me (for reasons beyond the obvious) and a very creepy and sinister possibility occurred to me. I mentioned it earlier, but a lot of these bodies look suspiciously "undamaged" considering they presumably met their end facing either Vader or an inquisitor. No missing limbs, no sabre burns etc. Almost as if they were still alive when they were put in those things. Then I remembered that Dryden Vos's collection (mostly of relics of the Sith persuasion) included several sentient creatures that were frozen in suspended animation, yet supposedly still very much conscious and aware.

With that in mind: what if the purpose of this facility isn't for the sake of trophies (they already have a room full of sabres for that), or just to store for future use (genetic samples, force presence bait etc.), but are instead not in fact dead very all very much alive and conscious, frozen in a perpetual hell of terror and suffering. What does that do? Well, one imagines it does wonders for the local strength of the dark side for the inquisitors and Vader to draw strength from.

It's less a case of "topic drift" than just an endless cycle of pointless bickering, and for the second time in a week, so I'm asking nicely BEFORE it gets as bad as other threads, because I've seen this whole tedious routine already and it gets old fast.
But sure, if one feels one needs a kick from a mod to tell you to exercise some self control, we can do that too.

Reminded me of rebels.. How they kept on stealing transports to the point of them saying so..
Third sister is just.. Awful.. Wining the oak award.. Going for Maple.. Maybe redwood? ... Acting is horrible..!

Yeah, the Fifth Brother was always the most interesting of the lower Inquisitors in Rebels and he's clearly the most powerful yet careful of the ones in this timeframe.

That deepening of the voice for Padme/Natalie fooled no one. In the movie they lowered her voice to fool people

The intended audience were 7 year olds.

They were not supposed to figure out till the very end that Senator Palpatine, a nobody they never heard of before, was the phantom menace... Or is it Anikan himself who is the Phantom menace?

I remember George calling us over thinking douche bags, that Sideous is the Phantom Menace, and we should all take a chill pill so he can get back to making sure that Attack of the Clones is super awesome.

With the toys, there was a competition... "Who is Darth Sideous!?"

On the bus coming home from the movies I swear to god I heard a giggle of school girls talking, "Y'know like, I think that that little boy is like going to grow up to be what, like Luke Skywaker's father, I think?"

Another great episode. I loved the sheer tension of Obi-Wan and Tala's mission to rescue Leia.

At several points, I thought for certain Tala was toast. Certainly when the Third Sister figured out something was very off about her. I'm thrilled she managed to see another day and not just because I adore Indira Varma. I'm sure it's been covered before in the old EU in some fashion, but I love seeing someone who joined the Empire early on, thinking it was for the greater good, before slowly realizing they made a terrible mistake and decided to use their position to help the Rebellion. Of course, her cover is blown but I want to see more of Vala and hopefully beyond this series if she continues to survive.

One thing I really liked about this episode was how it took a few quiet moments to mourn Wade, a Path pilot who lost his life to help rescue Obi-Wan, Leia, and Tala escape, even though he was someone we just met in this episode and barely got to know. We barely knew Sully but Maya Erskine went the extra mile to make us really feel her grief in that moment. Kudos to the show for doing that.

While I didn't think back to Vos, I did wonder the same thing. That's a terrifying proposition...and an entirely believable one. I wonder if the show will address that chamber again at some point. I imagine they will if one of those younglings is indeed from the Purge and it was someone Third Sister knew....
