and pretty wrong, as there are plenty of emotionally and intellectual challenges in TNG.You also accused them of not wanting to be challenged intellectually or emotionally. So mentally lazy at least, if not stupid.

perhaps it’s you who haven’t paid enough attention. No, there really aren't. The vast majority of TNG episodes offer simplistic, pat answers to problems that are in real life quite complex, and justify doing so on the basis of "humanity has evolved." Or they have the "evolved" human characters just dump the problems on the guest stars and then warp away with a self-satisfied "glad-we're-so-much-more-enlightened-than-those-guys!" attitude.

In an episode with dream logic, yes.Am I agonising too much over all this detail?![]()
Fans though just go WRONG UNIFORMbecause everything is a mistake and nobody making the show references the complete Star Trek Fact Files. Or whatever.
Fans who go "wrong uniform!" are usually looking for a reason to ding newer Trek shows, rather than the actual context of the show and it making sense in context.Fans though just go WRONG UNIFORMbecause everything is a mistake and nobody making the show references the complete Star Trek Fact Files. It's like people are waiting and hoping for a violation to immediately jump on. Sounds like a perfectly miserable way to watch a show.
There was no personal implication at you. I was remarking on a snarky response from Daniel. My discussion was in broad strokes and not intended towards you, or anyone, here.Wow, I didn’t anticipate all of the snarky replies I’d get to this message.
I think it was a perfectly reasonable question to ask if there’d been any discussion on the uniform choice. I’m not sure how you’ve interpreted that as me hating on the show @fireproof78. There was even a self-deprecating line at the end asking if I was obsessing over the detail too much. I suggest you calm down dear.

i loved reading that as a kid.I wish they would, as I’d love to offload my copy. I can’t believe the money I spent on that stuff, which has served only to gather dust for ~25 years.
