Do you love to listen to any of the Star Trek movie soundtracks? I know redundant question and all because we are on a Star Trek board but just wondering which ones you like the most and which ones you listen to most.

for me

Star Trek 6
First Contact
Insurrection
Star Trek 2009
Star Trek Into Darkness
Star Trek 5

That very first track on Insurrection is about my absolute favourite, it starts off so lovely and calming and at the 3:50 mark shifts gears to something a bit louder and more vocal. Great track really.

Also interesting that the AFL (Australian Football League) here in Australia used a track from First Contact in some of their promos a few years ago.

I love the scores for ST 09, ID and BEY.

For the classic movies, my favourite scores are TWOK, TSFS and TVH. I love the opening theme of TVH.

II, VI, Generations

II recently had a remastering done - new audible tones I couldn't pick up on before were nice, but the soundtrack was missing a few tracks from the previous remastered release...

Of course!
TMP, TWOK, FC and the reboots, mostly, but there's great music from all the Treks that I regularily listen to, especially when I'm in the mood for watching!

I have them all, but I recently got the multi-disk versions of TMP and TFF and I listen to them pretty frequently. They are amongst Goldsmith’s best work. Awesome stuff.

The opening theme to FC is legitimately beautiful and moving, as is “The Mountain” from TFF. Fantastic stuff.

There's a few 80s movies with Goldsmith music and you can almost get a Trekkian vibe from some of his work in other movies.

EDIT: it might have been James Horner actually but I remember some movies where the music felt a bit like Trek but it wasn't a Trek movie
