Not complaining, but like Spock I note that George Samuel Kirk is called Sam by Pike. I thought Jim Kirk was the only one who called him Sam. Like I said, I am not complaining, " I note it, Doctor"
P.S. I think Spock was talking to Scotty and not Doctor McCoy. My memory is a little fuzzy. The episode with Lee Meriweather and the "feel of the ship".

Its not so now but may be in the future. I suspect kurtzman won't run the franchise forever and sooner or later someone else might. If they do they can call this an alternate uni. Who knows though. SNW is good so far but its becoming increasing apparent that SNW and TOS don't gel very well. It gels better than STD and TOS. So maybe we will get even more tightening of canon as we go along. Little things could have been done to tighten visual continuity even more. I really wished they would have used the uniform styles from The Cage or Where No Man Has Gone Before. Those styles still hold up and would have been cool to see. The environmental jackets were also cool. Though I will say their uniforms are much better than what we currently have in STD. It really does bother me that STD is part of the prime. Such a garbage show.

Maybe or maybe not. If STD were out of the picture it would be easier for me to accept this universe as prime. STD is the worst written trek we have out there. I wish the first ep didn't refererence Burnham or Discovery. Didn't need to be reminded of it. Lol

Never said they did. But like any fan if the star trek universe I feel it my duty to watch and review the show. I will say it takes me forever to get started on it and finish it. SNW I watch the eps right away. I believe SNW is doing a better job because kurtzman isn't the show runner. Hopefully that will last. We haven't gotten any overly congratulationing everyone fir doing what they were hired to do. Even Uhura wasn't gushed over for solving the meteor mystery. So far no crying. So I'm pretty happy at this point. The biggest issues for me are vusual canon. But I think I can live with that.
