Goosebump Moments

Still talking about goosebumps and not tears, right? Seems confused in some cases.
;)

I have a new one to add:

Christopher Pike reciting the “Space…the final frontier” intro during SNW S1E1
Hate to be contrary, but I thought that was a terrible reading. Unexpected though.

Two moments from Duet. The first scene (when Kira believes she captured the Butcher of Gallitep) gave me goosebumps (not as in awesome but as in horrified, though). The next line in particular sent shivers down my spine:

MARRITZA: Oh, no, no, Major. You can't dismiss me that easily. I did what had to be done. My men understood that, and that's why they loved me. I would order them to go out and kill Bajoran scum, and they'd do it. They'd murder them and they'd come back covered in blood, but they felt clean. Now why did they feel that way, Major? Because they were clean.

(Marritza, seemingly straddling the line between really believing what he says and insanity. Though this line only works when you don't know yet Marritza is actually a good guy).

And mocking Kira after that, because even if he were to be condemned to death, she still can't undo what he had 'accomplished'.

The second scene, when he completely breaks down, and tells how he resents himself because he didn't do anything about these horrible tortures, as he was too afraid himself, and how he would like to pay for these crimes with his life now, even though he didn't commit them.

:techman: Since that one's been mentioned, I'll instead remind everyone just how epic Sulu's Excelsior getting hit by the Praxis shockwave was, from the coffee mug right up to the "Are you kidding?"

The Excelsior looked absolutely stunning in that opening scene, both inside and out. That movie really sold the idea that it was truly a, if you'll forgive the pun, next generation starship compared to the Constitution-class, whereas previously Star Trek III had made it out to be a bit of a vainglorious joke.

I don't know why Excelsior class ships didn't replace the connies.... They looked dope

Wait for it...

"Maybe today is a good day to die...prepare for ramming speed!!!" and then the EE drops out of warp and strafes the cube while covering the Defiant

"And we will keep on fighting, until we can't fight anymore!" - Sisko at his finest. I may have reused that line as part of a half time team talk given to my old Sunday League team (we came back from 3 down to win 5-3 so I say it worked)

But even when Scotty's work was undone, it still didn't work. Otherwise, certainly the Enterprise D (the flagship 100y later) would have had it.
