Maybe the c listers will have an easier time getting a movie since less eyes from the higher ups will be on them so there will be less scrutiny and hands meddling?

Obviously there's problema getting Superman movies out when that should be a no-brainer.

As it is, we're getting Black Adam before The Flash. WB is already messed up. Might as well get what we can since they're having trouble with the obvious options.

Nonsensical. Aquaman was a top character long before that abysmal Super Friends cartoon, strong enough to have his own cartoon in the late 60s (not playing him as a joke or ineffectual by any stretch of the imagination), and a healthy amount of merchandising proving not only his popularity, but it was based on the character being taken seriously in the comics of the period. As usual, you are posting BS divorced from the historical record.

Exactly. The Super Friends was never a great example of DC properties, and the Wonder Twins were one of ifs worst creations, being a copy+past job of so many Hanna-Barbera sibling characters seen in space Ghost, Shazzan, Partridge Family 2200, A.D., etc. The characters were idiotic and the butt of jokes. The Guardians--dating back to their first appearance in 1969's Marvel Super-Heroes umbrella title--were not.

For the MCU--as you so accurately point out--the GOTG was put into production only after a large number of solo films for their flagship characters, not early on. The were never going to produce that right after Iron Man, or the Norton Hulk, and again, the Guardians were not considered some 10th rate comedy relief from a disrespected production in the nature of the Wonder Twins.

Those characters have all appeared in dozens of movies, shows, games, ect. so I really people are so desperate for more of them. I'm more than happy with the amount of content they've gotten, so I'd love to see more obscure characters, like The Wonder Twins get a chance in the spotlight. DC has had hundreds of characters over the decades, so lets move from just rehashing the same half dozen characters over, and over, and over again.
Obviously, I'll still look forward to, and probably enjoy new movies with Superman, Batman, The Flash, ect. but given the choice, I'd pick a Wonder Twins or Blue Beetle movie over one with those characters.

I prefer the b and c listers in the DC roster in my comic reading, too. Any one of them is generally more fun than all of the Justice League members combined.

You keep posting this nonsense and the facts don't back it up. I don't care about games ,cartoons or TV shows. I'm talking about live action movies with D.C top roster of which there has not been dozens for Superman, the Flash, Green Lantern, Green Arrow or Cyborg. The only D.C character that has gotten plenty of exposure on the big screen is Batman. That is it.

Cyborg is dull as dishwater. Except in Teen Titans Go.

If that were true, it wouldn't have been so easy for the Superfriends portrayal to overtake all that.

I don't really separate things out that much to much, I just think kind of them all together when it comes to this kind of stuff. It's all just ways to tell a story with characters I like.
While I like the movies, I actually like TV shows better when it comes to superhero adaptations. Sure movies have the spectacle, but the shows can go a lot deeper with the stories, character development, and world building, and I'll take that over spectacle any day.

I never understood that. I always thought he was awesome on Super Friends, by which I mean as awesome as all of the other heros.

I never thought I'd like Cyborg, but he was pretty awesome on the Doom Patrol show.

If you consider TV shows as well as movies, Superman actually has way, way, way more live-action content than Batman (or any other superhero).

Any solo or comics-based superhero, perhaps. Collectively, I think the Power Rangers surpass him. The live-action series about Superman/Superboy/Clark Kent (not counting Supergirl and Krypton) add up to 26 seasons (6 of Adventures of Superman, 4 of Superboy, 4 of Lois & Clark, 10 of Smallville, 2 of Superman & Lois so far), while Power Rangers is up to around 30 seasons depending on how you count (at least 28). And in Japan, their Super Sentai counterpart is on its 46th series, while the Kamen Rider and Ultraman franchises both have more than 30 single-year series each, plus multiple tie-in movies and video specials.

You can take The Flash out of the trash but you can't take ...

Actually, now that I think about it, instead of fights they should be flashing people.

If anyone from Hollywood is reading here's a free idea for you; Ezra Miller / Shia LaBeouf buddy comedy. It practically writes itself.

More nonsense. The Super Friends version does not erase that which preceded it--Filmation's Aquaman series (and the merchandising of the character in the 60s), and the point that he was not some "joke" or 5th-rate character. Again, history is not your friend.

He's been in 33 animated movies, not counting shorts or cameos, and including the Super Pets movie.
12 live action movies, counting the old serials as one, skipping a short with George Reeves and the Turkish movie, and counting both versions of Superman II and Justice League as one movie.
6 live actions series, including Supergirl.
19 animated series, including shows were he was just recurring, and counting each Super Friends show individually.
