Well they’re not going to respond with ‘my god, what a load of crap’ are they?!
I think Jurati was pretty well fleshed out. I think we know a lot more about her after 20 episodes that we ever did about Uhura or Sulu. I feel sad she's leaving, but I do believe that Terry wants a proper TNG send off, he really wants a focus on the 7 original actors/characters. I think most of PIC's cast will be sidelined in S3, and as I'm a nostalgia-nerd, I'm not really that bothered by it...Ugh, that’s disappointing. I like the series, but geez they could have done so much more with the characters.
Just one more piece of evidence to think that there is not a Q reset coming in ep 10.Actress Alison Pill has confirmed she WON'T be in Picard Season 3

Actress Alison Pill has confirmed she WON'T be in Picard Season 3! "I know that season three will be the end. I wasn't a part of season three, so I don't have much to say about it in terms of spoilers."

For these people, it's not enough that the old writers come back. They have to provide exactly what they wrote 20-30 years ago, because these viewers wouldn't accept anything less than the Star Trek they remember, no matter how skewed or rose-tinted those memories are. They don't want new and challenging stories or new perspectives, they want to recapture the familiarity and comfort the Star Trek they grew up with had provided. Can you imagine if PIC was actually being written and produced by TNG writers. It probably still wouldn't live up to expectations (whatever they are) and it would be those writers getting the backlash instead of the current ones. "Why have they brought back the old writers, this series needs fresh blood" etc.
Reminds me of a similar situation just now involving the Monkey Island game series, it was recently announced that the original creator of the games is creating the 6th entry in the series (after only working on the first two), which fans have been lobbying for years, but once it became clear that the game wouldn't be what certain areas of fandom expected, the abuse started.
The moral of the story is: there just ain't no pleasing some folk.

Me too, 100%. And I have to admit, I will be a lot less interested in any Seven spin-off if most of the rest of the established cast from PIC has been effectively killed off.It is a shame because frankly I would have watched a show without Patrick Stewart with the cast.
Maybe Seven's Rangers.
