Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

There's an electronics chain in a few states here that is legit (not a bait and switch shop) that claims to have the lowest TV prices. But aren't TV prices regulated, meaning they're the same price everywhere including when sales happen? I know Costco has their own unique model numbers for their brand name TVs, which is why they can sell the 4000-X for less than the 4000-M. But this store isn't Costo.

Upon further review, their prices may not actually be lower. Their ads just say they are lower.

yeah - that's real crap when they are allowed to lie in ads

TV prices aren't regulated in the US, are they? It's a free market. Cable services have pricing regulations and are controlled by the FCC, but the actual TV itself--the machine-- is the same as any other appliance. As long as the total price is listed upfront, the store can charge whatever they want.

Nope. They are not.

Indeed.

The advertising industry could stand to learn a few things from the movie Crazy People...

And don't even get me started on "food stylists". You know, the food that pops up in advertisements for fast food joints. The actual food that the customer receives looks nothing like that, so why should they be allowed to make ads that way? In a very real sense, it's false advertising.

If they want to lose money and go out of business, sure. :vulcan:

I would imagine that the probability of them actually doing that is rather small, so they either had some deal and paid less for the TVs to begin with or the whole lot are crap and they are trying to shift them to cut their losses.

they are not allowed to here - especially as those offers always came with rather low stocks but when they had you there your ears were fed the oops, those are out of stocks but we can offer you ... tape

TV prices aren't regulated. In this case, it's something called Unilateral Pricing Policy.

I love how Amber Heard digs herself deeper into the hole every day.

She really IS a lying sack of shit, isn't she? :guffaw:

So I got back from my trip and decided to take a shower. I opened the shower curtain and found 2 spiders in their own little webs waiting to shower with me. I cleared them out. The next night there were 2 more spiders waiting for me --- one was hiding under the soap. I had to toss the sliver of soap because spider toes had trod on it. I am so tired of voyeur spiders in my shower.

I think So Delicious was the one I was looking at that I put back when I saw how the container was. I'll probably just stick to dairy ice cream, to be honest. Even if I don't go completely vegan for everything, I figure even just cutting out most of my meat and dairy is still helping a little.
Yes, it is. :)

I feel that way, too. I must be the only woman in Texas without any tattoos or piercings. I don't even have pierced ears.
I'm terrified of needles, so no tattoos or piercings here either (clip on earrings FTW). But my nephew-by-marriage has tons of really gorgeous ones. I don't mind them on others.

Just saw on the news this morning that "Addicted to Love" hit number one on the US charts....36 years ago.

Fuck. Just wheel me to the retirement home.
Oh God, I know... my AARP magazine (get off my dirt!) has all these "50 years ago this year" things in it, making me feel ancient.

is it just me or does that look like three tholians attacking a federation vessel
:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw::guffaw::guffaw: OMG you're right!

When I was going to put my socks on this morning, I noticed that the nail on my left big toe was cracked and there was dried blood under it, but I have absolutely no memory of kicking into anything or getting stomped on or anything like that. I have absolutely no idea how it ended up like that.
