Revisiting ST - SFA, anyone get a Thrustmaster with a HOTAS to work on this old game? Probably a slim hope at best, but figured I'd ask.
Maybe more likely if you get the recent re-release. https://www.gog.com/en/game/star_trek_starfleet_academy
Keyboard player all the way here. Klingon Academy was far superior than Starfleet Academy though… there is no better feeling than adjusting (‘modulating’ sounds cooler than adjusting!) your shield and hull strength so that you can enter a sun’s corona, or an unstable nebula… with the enemy (often Federation in this game!) ship following you in and disintegrating due to the AI’s lack of engineering and tactical skills!
I never had the full game of Klingon Academy, but from my recollection there was a free playable demo that only had the ship vs ship combat and not the storyline, but you could still do all kinds of customizing with ship mods and whatnot that the gaming community made available for download. It was pretty fun. Someday I'd like to see if I can get the full version of the game up and running on a newer PC. Kor
This looks fantastic. Game designers from 20 years ago capture the spirit and esthetic of Star Trek better than all the people currently in charge of Star Trek.
He is ridiculous good! I hope that they hire him for Star trek Picard and SNW. Or better make a Klingon Academy 2 or Armada 3
