Kira's changing look

I don't know. In the resistance she probably used a gun, but physically she wasn't as much a threat as she talked herself up to be. She got beat up - and beat up badly, because she attacked first before being flattened
- by a smaller female from a PLEASURE PLANET in INVASIVE PROCEDURES
And more than just her pride got hurt...

in her next scene she seems to be in pain with broken ribs, and the girl that defeated her asked her if she was okay, and warns her not to try that again.

The problem being we have no reason to compare a Bajoran with a Human or with whatever alien of the day that girl was. Nana couldn't beat up Casey but that doesn't mean that a Bajoran female couldn't beat up a Cardassian male. Besides for all we know the base of the neck is like the groin for Cardassians!

Again it's a combination of Nana Visitor probably looking for something more comfortable (save for the boots perhaps), the changing of her role on the station, and the growth of her character ...

No. It was purely marketing-driven, part of an effort to "juice up" the show a bit. IIRC Visitor was no more pleased than many of her fans by the changes in her character's appearence and role - at the time, there was actually some concern that she was going to be eclipsed by Worf/Dorn.

I'd be interested in reading her side of the story. I believe you, but I also don't think that any decision has just one motive, even if the other motives are partly justifications of that first motive.

did her hair turn white? or did she dye it white? because at her current age, it shouldn't turn 100% white

Regarding Mareel from "Invasive Procedures", we don't see her race again. It's possible that they just have strength and endurance far beyond the Bajoran norm. That or her planet has some real rock 'em sock 'em houses of ill repute.

Lotta necro lately.

Yeah. There's a couple of old topics I'm still bummed I can't add to. But I just don't have enough to say on the subject to justify a full reboot.

It's not remotely unusual to have completely white hair in your sixties.

I'm only 50, and my beard is pretty much all gray. Another few years, I'll be able to play Santa Claus without a fake one.

You may not have noticed, but the last post before your own was 14 years ago.

In future, if a thread has been dormant for more than a year, just go ahead and create a new thread and link back to any content you feel is relevant.

Thanks. :)
