It raises the question of whether Picard will give his name as Mr Galaxy or Mr Sovereign.
Knowing how much of a fan of BTTF Matalas is I'm going to guess Calvin Klein.

To say nothing of the fact the star we see in this episode is part of a dream sequence anyway, so we have the perfect excuse for any sort of inaccuracies that should pop up.

Just because some inaccuracies can be forgiven, doesn't mean they all can be, though what is and isn't forgiven depends on the individual viewer. But yeah I'm not sure scientists have come to any consensus on what sound a tiny dream star makes.

It's just such a soap cliche PLUS it's been done before on Trek (and even then I thought it was a terrible cliche). I guess we all have our tropes that we tolerate, or like, and then those that are just too much.
I'd like him to have a family too, but there are tons of other ways to do that other than to retcon a son.
But I'm happy for everyone who likes it, and it's not a big deal for me to sit this one out, so to speak.
