Yeah I got the sense that faux-Ducane is more than he appears to be. It's like he timed his entrance to the bottle opening.I think its Ducane. And Ducane is very much a Q.

Even after he's revealed to be Maurice Picard? That's some right proper disassociative stubbornness.I have a friend who even now is insisting that the character played by that Callis guy is actually supposed to be Doctor Bashir.![]()
Well as Picard's daddy would sayThis is my opening to say that if you count PIC as TNG (I consider it part of the TNG Family), then TNG is ending where it began: with Old Trekkies blindly hating New Trek. Picard will leave Star Trek the same way he came into it.
She mentioned that "they are not gods" so I wonder did he show up trying to do a Dravot/Kurtz on the El Aurians. One of the things I've been looking forward to this season is seeing interaction between Q and Guinan and finally finding out what the Hell that was all about between them in "Q Who?"
We got some hints by them saying there was a conflict between the Q and the El-Aurians, but I want to see another face-to-face between Q and Guinan. It seemed pretty personal between them. To the point where Guinan said that unlike DeLancie's Q, other Q are actually respectable. So there's something there. And it's not just the conflict Q and El-Auirians in general.
Tantalus colony still around?
I've seen Terry Matalas answering someone's question about this with "because Dr. Bashir isn't Picard's father". His tweet sounded a little exasperated, and I honestly can't blame him. It's one thing when people get confused at first, but a LOT of hate-watchers are deliberately refusing to understand what's going on and are insisting on their "alternative Trek facts" because they fit into their narrative of "this show is ruining Star Trek".
Plus his FC / DS9 uniform was pretty spot on.
You should've known better. Bashir is a DS9 character. This show only has TNG and VOY characters.I loved this show until the previous episode and I thought it was Bashir through most of this ep, because every time you turn around it’s a legacy character or actor showing up. Dude shouldn’t get exasperated if you cast a medical character in a starfleet suit who looks just like Siddig in a show rife with fanwankery.
Carpenter Street too - tied in with the arc but definitely a fun stroll through a familiar tropeENT took the time during the Xindi Arc for "North Star," which may be the closest thing to a TOS episode of the franchise since Season 1 of TNG.
Not where I was going with that. I was going more in the direction of "DS9 gets snubbed compared to its two sister series, and it's not going to stop now!", but I know what you're saying. It's all good.Wait, it wasn’t an exact Bashir suit, so we should have known that the guy who looks and sounds a LOT like Siddig 30 years later couldn’t be he?
They kinda mess with uniforms a bit in this CBS era, y’know.
I get that it wasn’t Bashir now, and Bashir wasn’t a psychiatrist. But then 7 wasn’t a vigilante in VOY either. It was confusing to me. All I’m saying.
They looked more alike when they were younger. Jawlines are a dead give away.Wait, it wasn’t an exact Bashir suit, so we should have known that the guy who looks and sounds a LOT like Siddig 30 years later couldn’t be he?

No I got you. It was someone above saying — I think — it was a differnt uni, so we should have known it wasn’t Bashir. But I’m not sure I understood that aright. Be well! Not where I was going with that. I was going more in the direction of "DS9 gets snubbed compared to its two sister series, and it's not going to stop now!", but I know what you're saying. (Double post, so shoot me.) If you have side by side pics sure, but just watching an ep with wine and cheese in 2022? Sure looked and sounded like a dude 30 years later. Eh, it’s all good. They looked more alike when they were younger. Jawlines are a dead give away.

Yes, maybe too much of a coincidence. He could be a Q.Yeah I got the sense that faux-Ducane is more than he appears to be. It's like he timed his entrance to the bottle opening.
