Honestly, the amount of actors who played multiple characters in Trek is long enough that expecting them to reprise a role is just not something I do.
Probably for the same reason they used April Grace to play a different character than Hubble that was in TNG and DS9, in the first episode of the season. It happens. Often times it happens a lot.
Sense...this makes none. Never mind the fact that Trek has reused actors on the regular this is the biggest FU?
By this argument actors should never be recast as different roles in Star Trek ever. Bye-bye David Warner. So long Jeffery Combs. Armin Schimmerman? Nope. Marc Alaimo? Definitely not.
