8 years. next to the Kelvin Enterprise (2258-2263), that is that shortest I've seen a starship be in service. The Kelvin Enterprise lasted Four years 10 months and 23 days.

That’s what makes them legendary. The Defiant (DS9) only lasted about four years.
Not to mention the Narada, the Jellyfish, and probably the TOS Defiant were all destroyed before they were even built. Negative lifespans! The Defiant (DS9) only lasted about four years.
The show was pitched as NOT TNG 2.0. That's what made it interesting to me (and a number of others, I'd wager). I had zero problems with the episode in S1 with Riker and Troi. Had no issues with Spiner as Data in S1 either. They were in separate episodes, with story elements germane to the moments they depicted. I don't expect to have my preferences catered to at all times, so I have no issue with the change of focus--at least no issue that extends beyond me. Didn't say anywhere I wouldn't watch it at all (haven't seen anyone who is less than fully enthused about this news make such a claim, frankly). Just as people who are happy with a particular iteration of a franchise have to cope with the fact others are not (I've been on the Yay! side more often than not on many such questions), people have to be ready to do the opposite. And expressing a bit of scepticism or lowered enthusiasm for something because of a new direction does NOT equal "hating it" or "wishing it failed" or any other such overly dramatic and overwrought reaction. It's simply a reflection of one's disappointment (no less or more valid than another's elation). And to all those who don't want any TNG characters in the TNG character show with the TNG character name... go watch Disco, LDS, PRO, SNW... plenty of other shows for everyone.
The Defiant NX-74205 was around for less than 5 years, 1 month, and 22 days, going by stardates (there is no stardate for the episode where she's destroyed but there is for the next episode, which is set in the immediate aftermath of that battle).
In 2000, someone I knew who was a Trekkie told me he heard a rumor that the next Star Trek movie was going be a TNG/DS9/VOY Crossover. Though he was a Trekkie, I was more "in the know" than he was, and knew this wasn't true, but kind of nodded my head (I didn't want to dampen his enthusiasm).
According to the background blurb on the Enterprise-D's memorial plaque that we see in the background in the Starfleet Academy scenes in S02E01, the saucer was salvaged from Veridian III and is in the Starfleet Museum (Dave Blass tweeted a close-up):

The Academy plaque for Voyager in Picard S02E01 suggests she was taken out of service in 2378 immediately after returning to the Alpha Quadrant, making her service life also even less than the Enterprise-D's.
...As has been hinted elsewhere in Trek lore, the original Voyager was taken apart and studied upon its return to earth and it’s destined to be turned into a floating museum. In the meantime, Admiral Janeway has a new fast little ship to command....
The LCARS coloring is more Ent-E-ish than Stargazer's was in the first episode.
