I don't think so. If you notice, the Borg Queen's voice changed to a more female voice when she says, "Picard, look up", which suggests to me maybe he was lost in thought about his mother and mistook what the Borg Queen said. I dunno. He didn't look up though.
The BQ has his memories so she could easily know that phrase. If the BQ is Jurati, she may be using the memory to get through what she knows is Picard's fear of the Borg. A fear which touches on the primal fears he had as a child. My guess is they may figure out whatever puzzle Q set them, get back to the future with Picard knowing this is Jurati/Queen and then cancels the auto-destruct.

Or maybe, Isa gets a knew role as BQ by the end of this.

Well my argument would be that this season is based on time travel, and then I would continue to prove that I am correct by posting an animated video of the said sequence which is even more convincing as evidence than the screenshot:

I would then deliver the final blow by saying that the red animation in the Doctor Who theme turns Borg green like it has been assimilated.

This proves my theory in my mind.

Therefore I would win the debate! :angryrazz:

Come on Doctor Who fans! Come at me!
No. The 3rd Doctor did not really encounter the Cybermen and they are what the Borg are based on. ( Technically he did in the 5 Doctors, but he forgot that)

I did try to see what you were talking about, and it is similar but not quite. Likely a coincidence.

Then why give him help?

No shit. But Picard said she finds life on Io during this mission, so I don't think it's only going to Europa.

So....the Mercury program didn't go to Mercury??? Apollo didn't go to Apollo? Wha's all this then?

Same. I have a huge crush on Alison.
And Michelle.
And Santiago.
And Jeri.
And Orla.
And, uh, Evan.
Oh, and Annie! Can't forget Annie.
Also, Isa.
I think I mentioned Alison.
I'm pretty sure that's... no, no, also Patrick.
And definitely Kirk Thatcher. < loosens choker just a bit >

Seriously, that is a damn fine cast.

Save some energy for SNW ;)

The seventies exile of the third doctor were set in the 1980s.

"The Tenth Planet", the last story of the first Doctor, was set in 1986.

It's conceivable that the third Doctor sat that adventure out, despite having the military resources to observe everything that happened, which he couldn't have not seen, even and including Capaldi showing up to cockblock his younger self's regeneration.

I kinda feel they're building towards the Eugenics Wars here, I guess they're moving Khan and buddies forward from the 1990's?

I liked that Soong's sun shield was a mini version of what will eventually cover the Earth in fascistverse 2401.

Not a fan of "Assignment Earth" but the tie-ins weren't as cornball as I was expecting (people morphing into cats etc), now I'm wondering if Laris is an undercover watcher keeping her eye on Jean Luc in later life?

I have no idea what Q's goal is, or why he's powerless.

Agnes now has her own BSG style Borg Queen headvoice. Anything to keep Queenie around, she's excellent, funny and wicked.

I have a feeling that the Eugenics Wars and World War III are going to become one and the same for this retcon. According to the official timeline World War III started in 2026 which is just two years after the events of this season of Picard.

6 or a 7, depending on when you catch me.

They are hitting it out of the park with the Jurati/Borg Queen stuff, and Raffi's suffering over Elnor. I find myself struggling to care about the fanwank of Gary Seven and the Supervisors, Renee Picard and Adam Soong.

I thought it was 2053?

Not having read through the thread so maybe this has already been suggested, I suspect that the microorganism that is supposed to be found on Io is that will provide the cure for Soong's daughter, and without that, she dies and he goes evil.

That is awfully "long game". A trip to Europa will likely take a while to get there and back.

Anyone mentioning how incompetent the french police was? The officer calls in when looking for someone in the mention saying that nobody is there while in fact Agnes IS there and he should have noticed her abs Picard’s traces, then discovers a giant spaceship and goes in without reporting it and waiting for backup! Then he disappears for who knows how long and no one indagates.

How did he even get into the ship?

Agnes must have left the door open after heading over to the Chateau for her nap, complacent in the knowlege that the ship is cloaked and the vineyard is abandoned. If no one comes to the property and no one can see the ship even if they do, what's the problem? She did not foresee the Borg Queen calling the police or the cloak fritzing.

I'm 100% onboard for any retcon of The Eugenics War to make it a front of World War III, like how the 1937-1941 Sino-Japanese War has academically been considered a part of World War II as of late.

As Picard said, records of the early 21st century are woefully incomplete.

He seemed to be following standard Star Fleet security procedure for red shirts if he was on a Federation ship. Maybe, they're trained by the French in the future?
