PART 31
The vessel approaches towards the Enterprise and Enterprise-5
PART 32
PART 33
Commander Kumara of the Klingon Empire contacts the starship Enterprise with an offer of assistance. His curiosity was piqued by the sudden appearance of the Enterprise-5 in this quadrant of space. Having returned to the bridge of his own starship Captain Kirk indicates that everything is under control. But Kumara must insist! Klingon hospitality must be shown to the newcomers. Perhaps they could come aboard his vessel? Or he could come aboard the new ship, this Enterprise-5? Such an interesting name, suggesting a lineage hereto unknown to the rest of the galaxy. One of bold adventures and triumphs over many trials. A much prized possession. (continued)
Captain Kirk and Captain Hunt speak to each other and agree they need to stall the Klingons so that the Enterprise-5 can return to it's own time period safely. Captain Kirk offers Kumara to transport aboard the Enterprise and Kumara counters that since neither group feels comfortable boarding each others vessel, why not transport to the surface of the planet they are orbiting, what they call Pi Aquarii B III? Perhaps a safe area within an energy field that won't allow either party advanced weaponry. And they will limit the amount of people to only three for each group. Kirk acquiesces.
Kirk informs Hunt that he will lead the landing party to the surface. Hunt reminds Kirk that only advanced weaponry will be limited. And he has a suggestion for who who should accompany Kirk...
PART 34
Captain Kirk of the starship Enterprise and First Officer Isiah and Security Officer Shein of the Enterprise-5 beam down to Pi Aquarii B III
PART 35
The Starfleet officers are surprised to see that instead of his own officers the Klingon commander has brought with him two Romulan guards. Klingons and Romulans serving together, side-by-side? Kumara reminds that Klingons and Romulans have shared technology in the past, so it was only time before there was a trade of personnel. Similar to the Klingon and Gorn that stand before him wearing Starfleet uniforms, although he could not imagine either Empire being willing to do such a thing. Yet. (continued)
He remarks on the Starfleet officers hand weapons. Even they would not hold to the agreement of bringing weapons into the landing site, a reading of the rules of war that would make Kirk a very good Klingon. He knows they are bargaining for time so that the advanced starship Enterprise-5 can take it's leave. No matter. So are they. Even now a fleet of warships is making it's way towards this quadrant of space. Kumara only has to buy some time until they can arrive and once they are defeated and the Enterprise is a smouldering ruin freefloating around this orb they will take the Enterprise-5 back to Klingon in chains. There's nothing to be done about warning the Starfleet ships. The energy field they set up that prevented advanced weaponry made sure of that. There is nothing they can do on this planet but fight or die.
