I can't help but be wary. Discovery is not good at sticking the landing on its story arcs. Season 1 had some wonkie plot logic, season 2 just had too much going to the point of incomprehensibility, and it felt like season 3 tried to compensate for season 2 by being bland, generic and by the numbers. Not bad, just sort of there. I dare to hope for better this year.

Not bad, just sort of there. I dare to hope for better this year.

We are in agreement on the previous finales. S2 was the worst for me. S1 made no sense. S3 had its good points, but 1 guy causing the Burn makes no sense and turning down Osyrra not a lot.

But I think they will finally stick the landing this time.

So I guess they return to the galaxy at some point in the finale, given we see the spore drive being engaged?

Or they realize days in that there's a mycelial network outside the galaxy and/or they give it a shot network or no. It looks like when they engage the thing and don't go anywhere.
