The digital de-aging looked really good. I wasn't expecting it and it was such a great moment and totally what Q would do.
I kind of wish he made some snarky comment like "let me change my appearance to humor you Jean Luc, in your twilight years."

I won't wade to far afield here because of the thread. I'll just add that I don't think Discovery's way is perfect. Only that Star Trek could benefit more from it and find the balance between TNG and DSC.My critique here is not the veracity/verisimilitude of how the therapy happens or is conducted (I am not qualified to make this assessment and will defer to your expertise); rather, it is based in how it is inserted into the flow of the plot and characterization. On DSC it seems like the characters are avatars for contemporary psychotherapists and not...characters on the show. It's a pronounced difference this year over past seasons. Troi might have been a shitty therapist but it made sense for Troi, the character, to be doing therapist-y things, even if she was as bad at it as you say.
I mean, there was a U.S.S. Chekov at the Battle of Wolf 359 so it only stands to reason that the Captain of the Excelsior would also get a ship named in his honor.
And the First Contact theme too. I loved hearing that again.Anyone notice the TNG theme played when Picard walks on the bridge of the Stargazer? The music was played low so as not to distract from the scene.
But would they? They could definitely milk them after their absence these years. Would be fantastic to get them in another movie.Anyone else get the feeling that these last 2 seasons of Picard are going to end the Borg story once and for all?
Dude, do not get my hopes up like that. That would make Picard completely worth revisiting the toothless enemy of the Borg just to put a bullet through that inane concept once and for all.Anyone else get the feeling that these last 2 seasons of Picard are going to end the Borg story once and for all?
DId these Borg come from the timeline seen in the temporal wake from Star Trek: First Contact? Hmm...
Bout time. This Queen took over a fleet that other crappy Borg couldn't stop Voyager.the Borg are back and more frightening than
It looked like the same ship what little we saw of it.Having not seen the episode fully yet, is there anything to imply that the Excelsior is meant to be a refit of the original ship?
She's IrishHow is it that Laris is so damn hot without even trying?
