That is what is called a mucking rake. I still have one that has the original hickory handle and steel tines.

Do Not accept any cheap substitutes.

I'm almost tempted to share this with the horse people I follow on Instagram.

I haven't tried using one of them new-fangled models, horses and ponies are far in my past, but report back w/ any responses if you do. ;)

I do wish to take one more canter into a full-gallop on a horse before I go. :)

All of these real life horse encounters, and all of the horse people I follow on Instagram have got me seriously considering taking riding lessons once I get a new job.
I'm sorry this is getting kinda late, but today Panda Express is doing a nationwide fundraiser for The Salt River Wild Horse Management Group, an independent group that takes care of a group of wild horses out here in AZ. The video I posted a while back of the white horse getting his chest scratched was from them. All you have to do is order online from an US Panda Express and put in a special code, which you can find at the link, when you check out.
I'm in the process of eating my Chow Mein I got there right now.

If you get the chance, give it a go.
But it does not take much to learn how to ride a horse though many will tell you otherwise... to pick your pocket.

Talk to those you ride around with to find the best place to learn how to saddle, girdle and cinch it then ask more questions.

A real riding lesson(s) should take no more than 1 1/2- 2 hours in total for the uninitiated, but I grew up around horses when I was young.

I wish you good luck and keep your toes and or heels as well as reins at the ready.

I'll keep that in mind. One of the ladies I follow on Instgram lives out here, and I've been thinking about asking if she knows anything about the places on this side of town. I figure if I ask people from either of places I go past on my bike rides, they'll just tell me to go there.

I wish we had HUGE mustelids--- size of tigers and lions. Nothing would safe. Only one would able to disembowel a mammoth in seconds.

Most of them are currently surrounding Ukraine, but I do wish That Ukraine had more of the "Big" ones...

Definition of Mustelidae

According to Wikipedia there were a couple of huge extinct prehistoric mustelids, one was about 2 feet tall, and the other weighed up to 130lbs.
