New (Old) USS Enterprise

Nice! Looks very clean.Well, building another version of the USS Enterprise using a different set of blueprints. I'm liking it so far.
Texturing comes when the build is finished, so no real textures yet.
Thank you! Ever since I started in 3D, I've been trying to make something that looks like the original model and film technique. It's been fun.
I should add that it won't look this "clean" for very long. I've got to get my lights set, and the engineering section done, then I'll move on to the textures, then I'll try to replicate some of the film effects. So, blur and film grain and such, and that should change the look of the whole thing.

These are the Charles Casimiro blueprints. I'll have to even out that undercut ... I know what you mean.Looks wonderful
Yeah, I think all three sets of plans are pretty close.
A long time ago, I put together a set of plans based on what I thought were the most accurate pieces from different makers. I'll have to see if I can find that again, or remake them.
Yeah, I should gather all the material and do another video. I gave a quick go at it with my Build Your Own USS Enterprise videos a while ago, about 4 minutes and 56 seconds into the first video.

Speaking of the TOS Connie, I made a thread about the YouTuber HalfScreen who's doing work on the floor plans on the inside of Star Trek StarShips.
He's got decks 1-11 layed out.
Given your knowledge of the Connie, how accurate is it?
My familiarity is more with the TNG era vessels, so I'm not the best judge for the layout of the TOS connie.

^^^ It is as accurate as you consider Franz Joseph Schnaubelt’s deck plans to be accurate, because that’s what Halfscreen is basing his model upon. Halfscreen himself says at the end of his video that the plans are not canon.
