I'm not a conspiracy minded bloke by nature. But I think the NFL has had something up their sleeves this year with Super Bowl LVI being in Los Angeles. What better way to engage LA than to have an LA team play in the Super Bowl? And everybody would know something is up if it was the Chargers!
Green Bay just utterly collapsing offensively in their own stadium after simply slicing the 49ers up in the opening drive. I buy you can make some adjustments, but I can't ever remember Aaron Rodgers being shut down so completely.
Close games certainly keep people watching advertising vs. blowouts. We've already had three decided by FG's at the end.
Bills needs a new stadium paid for by upstate New York. A deep playoff run certainly wouldn't hurt their cause.
OBJ? Cut by the Browns, nobody claims him on waivers, ends up in LA.
Von Miller? Broncos were still on the outskirts of playoff contention when Denver deals him to LA for milk money.
I don't think that they are openly dictating events in games, but I think they could subtly try to put things on certain courses.
The inside of my head is a scary place!
