They may have installed somewhat better tech in their shuttle, but what shoots down your 'superior' statement is that in fact, they never got it to actually fly with a crew.Can you show us where I wrote that general assessment? Nope.

Just because they used newer materials and tech, doesn't mean it was ever going to function even half as well as the American shuttles did.

The Novas are missing their impulse engines, but they're still there on the Steamrunner. So it might be an oversight.
Deflector Arrays are red, probably to make them look more ~evil~. The bussards on the Steamrunner are smaller than the Prime version I think.

At this point I'm just glad they haven't nearly doubled in length and don't have spiky nacelles twice as long as the rest of the ships.
It's there on the model (the top most rectangle), I think the FX guys in Voyager forgot to light it up, and I guess the Picard guys didn't because they used Voyager as reference?.

I think the Steamrunner model is based off, or actually is the Eaglemoss 3D model, there's details on it that as far as I can tell, are only on the Eaglemoss model
The Number of deck 2 windows. The two models used in previous series/movies either had 3 sets or none at all
Eaglemoss and Picard have 4 sets of deck 2 windows.
There's also this glowing square on the back of the 'roll bar'. The square is there on one of the original models, but it didn't have a blue glow like in Picard and Eaglemoss

The shuttlebays at the rear of the saucer are different between the two renders. The original ILM/DS9 Steamrunner model had a front-facing shuttlebay. The Eaglemoss version took that away and made those two little black squares into shuttlebays, and moved them closer together. If the ship in PIC has those rear shuttlebays, it's the EM model.
Oops, I didn't notice you replied. I did replace the first 2 images of the Picard/Eaglemoss ones with a better comparison. There is no forward shuttlebay that I can tell.
Eaglemoss design is probably partially based off the TV CG model which didn't have the forward shuttlebays visible
