NSS (Ni'Var's Science-Directorate StarShip)?NSS = Ni’Var Star Ship, maybe
NSS (Ni'Var's Science-Directorate StarShip)?NSS = Ni’Var Star Ship, maybe
So no Canon definition of NSS? Might not matter as Ni'Var joined the Federation.
Yes.Vulcan was maintaining its own Exploratory/Expeditionary Group independent of Starfleet during the 23rd Century...?
Janeway Class was only ever for Star Trek Online. Also, I guess the 32nd century Voyager isn't "Janeway class" after all..?
Remember, "The Doctor" (EMH) created the Synaptic Transceiver, I wouldn't be surprised if everybody in the future had one installed that allows them to interface with technology in a one way method where the Synaptic Transceiver sends the users desired computer inputs to whatever computer interface that the person wants.- Are the personal transporters mentally controlled? Or do people pre-program destinations that can be determined via, I dunno, eye movements or how you double-tap your combadge?
It's a good supposition that the Eisenbergs are being worked on rather than specifically unsuited for some reason such as insufficient speed. And we're back! Thoughts on 4x08, with the usual helping of "but it's been CENTURIES" as an explanation for some of this stuff:
- Admiral Vance specifically calls out the "Eisenberg-class" and shuttles among the ships on his "kitchen sink" list to dispatch to find Book's ship. The way he says it makes me wonder if the USS Nog and her sister ships are somehow NOT suited to this sort of mission? Or maybe the whole class of ships were busy being refitted and were not readily available for some reason?
- The shuttle, whose range and speed seem to not be any issue whatsoever compared to full sized starships, has a seat configuration that's more traditional as seen here versus the more populated configuration Tilly had.
- The Devore Imperium has gotten enough over their xenophobia to export sensors all the way here for some reason. And for them to be known. Or not?
- Tribbles can... Roll as locomotion? Or did that changeling simply play fast and loose with the furry form while escaping?
- The Changeling's updated FX looked more... Dusty than gooey. One wonders if they needed to hydrate before embarking on their oh-so-Dominionesque ploy of casino swindling.
- Where would Discovery's holodeck be? I guess we're not talking about the corridor-mounted training simulators anymore. Maybe they replaced the shroom room from season 1 with it?
- It hasn't been pointed out here yet I think, but Discovery still has a thruster suit from the first season mounted in the corridor set junction, that doubles as the airlock set when the right wall plugs are mounted. I'm guessing it's still to be used for emergency escape or whatever, but surely it would've been replaced by the 32nd century Tron suits?
