Doggies, Doggos and Doggeroos!

Had a pretty fun midday walk with the pups yesterday, took them and my mom through the neighborhood where I ride my bike. We went past the riding club down there, and it was kinda funny, because Gracie didn't notice the horses at first, but when she did she stopped are stared for a few seconds. She has seen horses before, since people ride at the park where we walk them just up the street from the riding club, but it's been a while. I was a little nervous since I wasn't 100% how they'd react if we came across people riding through the neighborhood to the park, but luckily nobody was out.

Hey, what are you guys doing in here without me?

Awwwwwww!!! Good girl Gracie, not barking at the horsies. :)

The horses were pretty far back, so it's not like they were face to face or anything.
She actually reacted better to the horses than she does other dogs. We're trying to work with her, but she still growls and lunges at other dogs on our walks sometimes, and they both go completely berserk if we go past dogs while we're in the car.
She also growls at and attacks some animals on the TV.
She's gotten a lot better with the walks and TV than she used to be, but the car is still an issue.
Tucker was good when he saw the horses too, and I was concerned about his reaction since he growled at the wild donkeys we saw at another park a couple weeks ago.

Wow you have a lot of wildlife in Arizona! That’s amazing. I don’t think Fred has seen anything other than dogs and cats. And the occasional raccoon!!

I actually have kind of a crazy coyote story. So usually when we'd run into them in the neighborhood, they'd just turn and go in the other direction when we run into them, but for some reason one didn't. It actually followed us all the way home, and then just stopped and sat across the street from our house and watched us go into through the gate into out backyard. Which is kinda scary since they get over walls and gates. Gracie was acting really agressive the whole time, so I don't know if that was why it was following us or if it was something else, but either way it was pretty scary.
At the time I was alone in the mornings and walked the dogs one at a time, and when I went out with Tucker it was back where Gracie and I saw it. So I literally grabbed him, tucked him under one arm, and practically ran home. Ever since then, I have not gone out that early in the morning by myself. Luckily it wasn't long after that that my mom started working later, and is now retired so we've been able to go out together with both dogs ever since.
