NFL 2021 season - Belichick Strikes Back

The Texans at the Jaguars this weekend for the bottom feeders runner up trophy. Detroit will still hold the lead after massively losing to Arizona.

I think it would be absolutely hilarious if Detroit were to somehow beat Arizona. LOL

It is so conflicting to be a Lions fan. I feel like making the Marge Simpson bet that everyone just has a good time.

Some teams are just a mess and will stay that way for a while. My Texans are horrible, with a dumbshit owner, Preacher Easterby seemingly having to much control, a million dollar QB who doesn't play (except with massage therapists), and a head coach that no one would have considered for the job (except for the Texans). I think the Texans are in the proverbial shithole for a while.

The Bears and Lions have owners quite comfortable being mediocre or plain shit just so they can own a pro sportz team. It's their trophy possession that will never result in an actual trophy. The Jets owner may be in the same bucket AFAIK.

The NFL needs to go full Adam Silver and push some owners TF out if they refuse to be competitive.

I can't tell if Dan Snyder is this way as well. The Skins have been shit ever since he took over in 1999. Some rare close tastes of greatness occurred, but he could just never seem to keep is nose out of team ops and let his people do their jobs. The RGIII debacle vs Mike Shanahan's preference to Kirk Cousins was a perfect example of this. RGIII was Snyder's prize stallion and wanted to see him perform. Shanahan saw Cousins as the longer future of the team. Sadly, neither of them were all that and a bag of chips. At least Cousins is still playing though, for the Vikings, albeit at an average rate. I was sad to see him go.

The first COVID rescheduled game, Raiders @ Browns moved from Saturday(?) to Monday late afternoon.

Apparently 8 of the next 10 days have NFL games.

The Raiders fought the scheduling change, believing the protocols over the summer were clear that outbreaks would result in forfeiture, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
