Doggies, Doggos and Doggeroos!

Dog's new favorite show.

My new doggie is finally home ! :luvlove::luvlove::luvlove:

Picked him up this morning and he's already comfortable and best buds with all the other floofs here - my 4, my brother & SIL's 3, and my other brother & SIL's 2 - and he seems so, so happy !

He'd been neglected and isolated in the backyard for years, apparently - he didn't even know his own name that was given to him by the owners who'd surrendered him, so I'm calling him Dave, and he's already responding to it after just a few hours !

Such a quirky, energetic little sweetheart he is, and doesn't seem to know, nor care, that he's the smallest of the pack - he was play-bowing immediately to my Newfie and Great Pyr, who both outweigh him by well over 100 pounds !

We went for a 6-mile hike in the woods, and he was just so joyful to have such freedom and space to roam and sniff and leave his "calling card", haha, for the deer, fox, and other little critters who live here. When we got back he was tired enough to just fall into a pile with the others for a nap in front of the fire, and they're all still there, snoozing away...

I know it's kinda crazy to have 5 dogs with another 5 in the house, too - we're a dog family, obviously ! - but the love they bring us is immeasurable, and they are loved, adored, and absolutely treasured.

Sorry for rambling ! It's just been a very, very good day :)

Your story made my day. I'm so happy for Dave, and his new family.

Ommmmggggg this made me smile so big!!!!!! That’s amazing. Hopefully it’s not too cold out, I’m in Philly and it’s getting near freezing.

We’re at mom-mom’s house. Scrapple is home with Timmy, but Teddy is here to join us! We’re doing a full doggo rotation this weekend!!!

Fred, Teddy and Archie.

So adorable, Tribble - all the hugs ! And they all have "human" names, too !

It is getting colder, so Dave and my Fred, haha, both relatively short-haired Pittie mixes, wear outdoor gear - Dave had no objections to me putting it on him, fortunately, nor the musher's wax for paw protection - and the other 3 have thick winter coats, so everyone is warm and safe and happy...

It's been a very, very good day :luvlove:

I love how dogs just seem to know when you want to take a picture or video. Several times in the last couple weeks Gracie and Tucker have been doing something cute or funny, but by the time I go to get my tablet, they've moved.
That’s so annoying!!! I know that feeling. Little stinkers! ;)

Fred is quite full of himself. He stole my phone just to take some selfies tonight.
