Yep. During Viet Nam they instructed officers to remove their rank devices to keep from getting sniped. The practice may have started sooner - not 100% sure when - but it became common practice in Nam. Subdued insignia came out of that.
i don’t think there are many chance of getting in a sniper’s scope while standing on the bridge of your ship.Snipers are always grateful when they do that.
It's the FUTURE!!!!!! Assassination technology has made great leaps.i don’t think there are many chance of getting in a sniper’s scope while standing on the bridge of your ship.
so has identification technology. I hope they don’t rely on eyesight to identify a target when they could lock on their genome, katra or whatever! It's the FUTURE!!!!!! Assassination technology has made great leaps.
I still remember B'lanna's Skeletal Lock idea with the Transporter.so has identification technology. I hope they don’t rely on eyesight to identify a target when they could lock on their genome, katra or whatever!
Also is red just for captains now. I can't remember seeing any of the crew wearing red and kind of surprised Detmer isn't in red
The uniforms are fine. The badges and rank signifiers needs work.
I just wish the Oval was transparent and made of glass encasing the Delta.Yeah, it's hard to see the Starfleet delta on the new combadges. I wish the badges were just in the shape of the delta instead of having it engraved into the oval.
What function do the stripes on the New York Yankees' uniform serve? This is probably the smallest nitpick ever, but...what's with that gray stripe? What function does it have? What logical purpose does it serve? Everybody has it, so it's not like a division thing.
I mean, the S3 uniforms also had the stripe, but it was the division color on an otherwise gray uniform. THAT made sense. This, as far as I can tell, doesn't.![]()
